Chapter 14 - Revenge Is Complicated...

Chapter 14:

"Daniel."

"Hello, beautiful." He said, closing the door, with his face close to mine, his lips brushing against mine. His breath smelled like a beautiful bowl of fruit, somehow...

"Well! Here I am, and oh! Hamburgers! Oh, cheese....cheeseburgers....no cheese for me!" He yelled, laughing.

"Well, beautiful. How are you now? You made us leave in such a hurry, I never got to say that I loved you! Isn't that unfair?" He asked turning to me then Zayn.

"No." Zayn replied. Daniel laughed.

"Aw, how cute! You have a little body guard, Ems. And isn't he just the sexiest thing.. I bet you LOVE playing with this one..." He commented, stroking his finger under Zayn's chin. Zayn shook his head to get his finger away.

"And oh so fierce. Always your choice, Ems..." He mumbled.

"I expected my cousin. Not you." I said, annoyed. He smiled.

"Playing hard to get, I see. Well, when you give this to her, tell her that we had some great nights." He smiled and winked, while handing me her phone. I took it and rolled my eyes.

Mallory seemed more excited than ever. And her face caught Daniel's eye.

"Ah, the best friend, eh? Well, isn't she a beauty..." He said charmingly while lightly brushing her face. She blushed and put her head down a bit, smiling. I grabbed his arm away from her, and they both got defensive.

"I don't mind, Ember..." Mallory said, practically hypnotized. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"I don't want him to play you..." I mumbled, talking his arm away once again.

"Like you played him?" Mallory sassed. I did NOT like this side of her...

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Ember. Playing someone? Hold the train and back it up!" Jake yelled, amused. I scolded him and he smiled.

"I always thought you'd break from that "innocent girl" act, Em." He smugly said.

"Innocent act? I know she has three known kids from these two..." Daniel continued, amused by my reaction. I knew what he was going to say next, and I was afraid.

"Daniel..." I pleaded. But he just laughed.

"But did you know, that she doesn't just have three, she has FIVE. She had one as my brother father, and one as me father. She never told us, though. Or anyone. I had to figure it out. She gave them to my sister. She always wanted kids but couldn't have em. Now she has some!" He laughed. I was furious with him. He just had to ruin my life.

"Yes, because you ruined mine." He could tell what I was thinking. So he decided to tell me why he was doing what that.

"I was in an odd state...please...just stop. I'm sorry. So, so, so sorry." I mumbled, tears rolling down my face. I thought either Zayn or Niall would be by my side, but everyone had backed away from me. No one was coming by my side. It was Elementary and Middle school all over again.

"Aw, poor Ember is sorry and sad. You just want your friends back. Well, I want that other year of my life back. But that's something I will never get back, Ems. I will never be acquainted with my brother again, I will never not be heartbroken to tell my child that their mother played them, and that they're cousins, but also step-brothers. That their mother was a complete and total bitch and she couldn't get her act strait because her break up was "too much." Your silly little break up was not worth sucking the life out of two, or five, kids who had just been born! You killed my past, and my future. You only bring sadness and despair. You have no idea what it's like having to do this! And you know what? Ryder is ashamed of his little girl. He wants nothing to do with her! So I help take care of my son and his daughter with my sister. He's engaged, the fiancé doesn't even know about his little girl, yet! You terrible, terrible girl. You slutt. You bitch. You trader. You destroyer. You depressed freak." Daniel lectured me. I was crying and didn't know what to say.
