He wasn't really half bad, once you got to know him. The project had been long finished by now, and I knew it was getting late. I couldn't bring myself to alert Jeff though, we'd started watching some shitty low rated movie and made fun of it along the way. It reminded me of my 'dates' with Alex, which was really just cuddling and getting sugar-high.
Alex. Oh, Alex would be laughing at how comfortable I was around Jeff right now. He'd probably tell me Jeff was trying to lure me in and brutally murder me somehow. He over exaggerated things a lot.
Jeff was laying on his stomach on the bed, while I was sitting against the headboard. Today had been the most I've heard him talk, and I was pretty proud of myself for it. Eventually I stood up and stretched, cracking my arms and slipping on my shoes.
"I should really go Jeff, my parents will worry."
He was up beside me in a flash, holding my wrist with what resembled a childish pout. "Stay the night."
My eyes went wide and I was sure I was blushing like mad, the hint of cockiness in his eyes gave it away.
"I don't know Jeff.. It's a school night, my parents are gonna freak out." I didn't want to completely turn him down, but I doubted my family would appreciate me suddenly sleeping at some strange guy's house. I could read the disappointment on his features, but he just nodded and took me by my waist.
I audibly gasped and he started leading me gently down toward his front door. He had a smirk on his face, the bastard.
"Friday then?"
I paused once at his door, looking back at him and tilting my head to the side in question.
"Friday?"
"Stay the night on Friday, it'll be fun."
I watched him incredulously before breaking out into a smile. "Sure. I'll come over on Friday." I promised.
As I left the house and walked toward Alex's car, which I'd called earlier, I paused. Wasn't prom on Friday?
That sneaky shit.
Sorry for the annoying filler its 1am I gotta sleep.
