I cannot tell you how amazing it felt to shower. Even after only two days in the woods, the hot water was such a relief from all the fighting and the stress-

Suddenly, the door burst open, and Jamie, fully clothed, jumped into the shower with a towel and turned off the water.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I shrieked, grabbing the towel and covering myself up.

Jamie's hand was pressed to my mouth. "Shh! Someone came inside!"

Terror coursed through my body. I didn't even want to know what would happen if someone found two strange people in their shower, one of them dripping wet and naked.

I then, fully realized my situation. I was naked, with only a cotton towel covering me up, and Jamie was pressed up against me in the tiny shower, hand pressed over my mouth, eyes watching me.

My breathing was rapid, and I couldn't tear my eyes away from Jamie's. Jamie was my exact height, and I was shaking from cold and fear in Jamie's thin, yet muscular arms.

I had a feeling something was going to happen soon, but I couldn't tell whether I wanted it to or not. I slowly lowered Jamie's hand from my mouth, and leaned a little closer.

Jamie hesitated. "Are you okay with this?"

My heart was pumping faster than I had ever felt it beat before. I slowly nodded. "Are you?"

Jamie nodded, but still didn't move. "I need to make sure you're okay with this." His words came out in a hot puff of air against my lips.

I answered by leaning in, and kissing him firmly on the mouth. Only 4 hours earlier we were swinging blades at each other, and now we were kissing. In the shower.

Jamie's kisses were so different from Harry's. Jamie's were softer, and more passionate. My hand tangled in Jamie's blond hair, and I felt his hand slide down around my waist.

Suddenly, the shower curtain was flung open, and before Jamie and I could break away, a male voice boomed, "Get off of her!"

Jamie was roughly thrown away from me, and onto the bathroom floor. Troy was standing outside the shower, with a murderous look on his face.

"Troy!" I gasped. "What the shit do you think you're doing?!"

"Saving you from Jamie!" He thundered. "Would you rather still be having Jamie kiss you like that?!"

"Yes!" I shot back. "Because I wanted to kiss Jamie! I wasn't being forcibly kissed, it was a choice!"

Troy looked as if he had been slapped. Jamie grinned, despite the obvious pain from being thrown on the floor.

"Sky, what the hell? Are you into Jamie? Jamie, of all people?"

I stepped out of the shower, and reached for Jamie's hand. "Yeah, I suppose I am. Maybe Jamie tried to kill me earlier, and maybe I thought Jamie was a pig earlier, but so far, Jamie's been a whole lot nicer than you, so straighten up, or go back home!" I pulled Jamie up. "Now both leave, so I can finish my shower."

They both left, and I stepped back into the shower, my cheeks burning. I couldn't believe I had kissed Jamie like that. I couldn't even figure out if I did it to spite Troy or because I wanted to kiss Jamie. The only thing I did know for sure was that I liked the kiss. And I wanted it to happen again.

Once everyone had showered and eaten, it was 2:30. We were all sore, and tired, but continued to walk anyway.

I noticed Jamie was walking with a limp, so I very suddenly yanked up the back of his shirt and gasped; Jamie's back was all black and blue, bruises lining his spine.

"How did that happen?" Evalynn asked in my ear.

"Ask Troy." I muttered.

"Ask why!" He shot back.

Evalynn, Evie, and Diamond all stopped walking to look at me questioningly.

"What happened?" Asked Evie when I offered up no explanation.

"Troy threw Jamie onto the bathroom floor, back first."

"Ask why!" He said again.

"Why?" Evalynn demanded.

"Because...welll...."

"Skylar and I were making out in the shower." Jamie said quickly. Three mouths dropped in unison, and they all gaped at me.

"No way!" Diamond cried.

Evie nudged Evalynn. "Told you." she whispered. Then to Troy, she asked, "So because your sister was getting a little more action than you, you felt the need to end it?"

"It was Jamie!"

"So?!"

Troy sighed angrily, his fists clenching at his sides.

With Diamond and Evalynn still in shock over the kissing news, and Evie and Troy bickering about Jamie and I, and whether the kiss was appropriate, Jamie gave me a half smile, and we all started walking again.

It was then that I decided that Troy would start acting like a member of this group and respect Jamie. And also, we needed to stop picking up assassins and people destined to die. This group was getting too annoying.
