Lianna walked to her house in no rush. THey had enjoyed their hookey day a little too long. Today was also the day their parents announced punishment, and she was sure it'd be doubled. She was at the wooden brown door and flinched before she grabbed the brass knob. "Where is Lianna?!" yelled her mother from inside. That didn't help.

Lianna backed away from the door and turned around, ready to run to a dark alley somewhere. She turned her head back and gulped. She walked up to the door and gathered all her courage to open it. She opened the door and the first thing she saw was her mom's blood-red face and bloodshot eyes. She regretted even thinking about going home.

"See ya in the morning! Bye!" eeped Lianna as she ran up and locked her bedroom door. She laid on her bed and dozed a bit. Next thing she knew, the door was slammed against... By something big! Then the door broke. There stood a blonde-haired, red-eyed giant with green skin. All of a sudden, Lianna was a gladiator in the Roman Colosseum. She was in gladiator armor with a shiny sword.

The giant charged, steam coming from its nostrils. Lianna held her sword up and impaled the beast. It screamed a scream of a tortured soul. It then withered into dust. The Colosseum's onlookers cheered, "She slayed the beast!" over and over again.

"Lianna!" her mother yelled, popping her out of her dream. "Open this door, Lianna!"

Lianna groaned. "What is it?"

"Military school!"

"What?!"

"That's right! You start tomorrow!" Her mom stormed off.

"What the heck?" She ran downstairs and saw a military school brochure. She looked it over and it was an all-summer thing. "AAAHH!" she screamed. "Why?!"

She went upstairs and packed her stuff and before dawn she was driven to Camp SpiritBreaker, which was in the woods. Lianna looked dreadfully at the gates. She was going to live through this... This... *Ugh* She so wanted to cuss, but she wasn't that type. This nightmare. Lianna hadn't spoken to either of her parents and the tension was great. She hurt them the best way she could... She fed the silence, hoping one might crack.

As they got closer, Lianna saw the beads of sweat on her father's forehead. He was about to crack. If she could stall without giving him the relief, she could get out of here... But how? She'd never been good with plans and such; it had always been Meagan's job. The thought threw her into an even greater depression; she was all alone...

"Your st-st-stop." her father stuttered. Lianna gave him a look of such malice that he actually turned the car back on. Her mother, firm, cut the car back off and took the key. "Go on now." she demanded, as solid as a rock.

Lianna had been beaten. She got out of the car and trudged her way to the gate. She kicked it (hard!) and it sounded like an elephant rammed into it.

"Get that maggot!" yelled a voice.

"No! Oh no! Not the gym coach!" A head appeared. "It IS the stupid gym coach! I hate Tom Strong!"

"I'm Tim Strong, maggot! Tom Strong is my brother!" They looked exactly alike...

"Oh on! Twins!" Lianna cried in horror.

"I know that voice!" yelled another person. It sounded exactly like Tim Strong.

"Waaaaaahhhhh!" Lianna cried. Both her gym coach and his twin brother were here to make her suffer... All alone.

"Open the gates!" commanded her gym coach. The gates opened to reveal Lianna. "You!" he snapped as he pointed.

Lianna looked like a demon, red eyes and everything. Tim Strong was older so he was the top commander, but Tom Strong was a commander, too. The rest of the staff were: five counselors, two medics, one lunch lady, one survival teacher, and one ironwork teacher. Lianna looked around as Tim Strong commanded the other students as if they were puppets. Lianna saw mindless fools. She walked in and sat on a rock, sulking.

"Sulking will get you nowhere." snickered a voice beside her. Lianna yelled, "Meagan!" gleefully. It was Meagan; she had gotten there a little earlier. Lianna remembered how the Strong twins took her stuff and *said* they'd give it back after camp. "I'm glad I'm not alone," grinned Lianna.

"Me too," agreed Meagan.

Lianna pointed to the commanders and hissed, "Demon spawn!"

"You're absolutely right! But let's just focus on survival." Lianna nodded weakly, staring at the Demon twins.

"Maggots!" yelled Tim. "I know you all are hungry, but TOO BAD! We have only one meal a day, and it's at 10:00!"

Lianna growled, "Grrr.... Idiot."

"Now choose your classes!"

Meagan and Lianna grabbed themselves two slips. Lianna looked at the options: kitchen duty, ironwork, survival class, and assistant nurse. Lianna chose ironwork and kitchen duty.

Lianna snapped, "I hate them!"

"Don't we all," Meagan retorted. Lianna shot her a look and then one to Tom.

It still wasn't light out when Tim yelled, "To the obstacle course! NOW!" Lianna took her sweet time, like in gym. "Hurry up, maggot!"

"Why don't you come make me?"

"I will!"

"Bring it on!"

Next thing Meagan knew, Lianna had given Tim an atomic wedgie and yelled, "How do you like me now?!"

Tim pinned her and snarled, "You're a tough one!"

"Heck yeah!" sniped Lianna as her feet smashed straight into his gut.

"Ooowwwww...." he cried.

Lianna had shoved him off with her feet alone and jumped onto his back. She was a rider and he was a wild horse... Bull, really. Meagan swore she saw steam coming from his nostrils and his eyes glow red. "Lianna..." she sighed, knowing she's have to intervine.

Tim bucked wildly and Tom leaped. He was trying to knock Lianna off! Meagan grabbed his ankle and pulled him to the ground. "Now I deserve the LAPS!" she hissed. Lianna grinned at her recent evil streak, remembering when she first met the once-before "goody-two-shoes". Lianna jumped off Tim and wildly ran, with him close behind.

When Tom jumped at Meagan, she stepped one step to the left, causing him to hit a tree. He smashed his face and was down for the count. "And one big, stupid one to go!" she laughed. Lianna knew they were going to tag-team this one and whooped with joy.

Meagan cracked a quick grin as she grabbed a good-sized rock and aimed. She threw it through the air, smashing straight into his head. He fell to the ground and groaned. He picked himself up after a while and shook it off. He was tougher than his brother. He charged Meagan and she ran up a tree (she was so fast it actually looked like she ran up it).

An acorn hit Tim on the head. He looked into a nearby tree and saw Lianna.

"I am the protector of all trees!" she yelled with a Scottish accent. Meagan recognized this... She was acting like the squirrel in **Open Season**!

"Lianna!" she moaned.

"Walk away from the tree and no one gets hurt!" her friend continued. Tim charged her and an army of squirrels ran up beside her, armed with acorns.

'Maybe she isn't acting...' Meagan thought.

"Fire!" Lianna yelled. Acorns, acorns, acorns after that! They flew and hit Tim and was pounded over and over again with no chance of relief. "Cease fire!" The whole forest floor was covered with acorns and Tim was buried under a huge pile.

The acorns started to move and a white flag of surrender appeared. It waved in the air and Lianna, with her army, yelled, "Hooray!" in victory.

"Lianna, oh, Lianna!" chuckled Meagan. "What will I ever do with you?"

"I don't know." she answered cheerfully.

"Neither do I, neither do I."
