Does He Love Me?

Free Period

Collin walks me to the gym. We walk in and he gets a chair to sit by me.
"You know. I think it would be fun to watch the basketball team." I said.
"Yeah. I like basketball."
It's really quiet.
"I have my phone. Do you want to listen to music?" He ask me. I nodded.
"What song?" He asks.
I stop and think for a moment.
"I don't know. I can't think of anything. You can play what you want." I say.
"Okay." He says pushing on his Playlist.
The first song that comes on is "waiting on a plane" by Maddie and Tae.
"You listen to Maddie and Tae?" I ask surprised.
"Yeah. Some people think it's weird that a guy likes Maddie and Tae."
"It's not weird. I actually really love their music."
"Awesome."
The music starts and we just sit together with our hands locked and just listening. No talking.

We end up using all of free period for music. The bell rings and it takes us by surprise.
"Pick up are dismissed." Said the speaker.
He shuts off the music. He puts the chair back. He starts to push me out.
"I really like your playlist." I say to Collin.
"Thanks. I just wish we had longer to listen to them all."
"Me too."
He pushes me to the van.
"Bye Collin."
"Bye Skylar." He says and he walks away.
Caleb locks me in and shorts the door. I take out my tablet from my pouch.
I text Collin.
-So. I guess we can text over the weekend?
-yeah <3
(The heart is what Collin puts after his messages to me.)
-so what do you want to text about?
-well I can't really text now. I have to go. My guardian wants to have family time. <3
-okay. Can you text tonight?
-yeah. <3

"How was school?" Caleb ask.
"It was good."
"Good."

We drive home while I put in my ear buds and listen to my new playlist that Collin made me.
