~Chapter 5~

I grunted as I caught the flying metal spear Ed had just tossed towards me. I fumbled slightly, finally obtaining my grip around the weapon in time to look up and see the little blonde charging towards me. I sneered a profanity before he crashed on top of me, pinning me to the ground. My breath hitched nervously as I met his eyes, inches away. I fought the blush inching towards my cheeks. I shook my head very slightly and regained my cool.

"W-What the hell string bean?!" I gripped the weapon tightly, which was snug between us. My fingers wrapped around the spear that firmly touched his chest also. The realization made keeping my cool, an even greater struggle. With a smirk and a slight chuckle, he lifted himself up, pulling the spear and me along with it, to help me stand on my feet. I placed my feet strongly onto the ground, trailing my eyes up to meet his face as he shook his head in disappointment.

"You think you can come along with me and Al when you can't even keep your guard up Stel?" He smirked again as I growled under my breath, trying to ignore the happy twinge in my heart when I heard his nickname for me. How could I keep my guard up? When he always has me managing to drool over him like a lost little fan girl.

"Challenging me squirt?!" I stood strong, pointing the tip of the spear towards him as he irked from afar from my comment. His anger grew inside as he bursted like a train horn, charging crazily and foolishly towards me.

"What did you say you-!" He was cut off when I slyly stepped to the side of his straight bullet of rampage and coyly tripping him, and causing him to fall face first into a nearby creek. I couldn't help but smile when he shot straight back up and stomped angrily in the water, glaring at me.

"Stella!" He screeched to the sky as I laughed.

"Edward!" I mocked, smiling brightly. I felt a tug on my jeans as I turned to look back, causing me to slip down due to my own clumsiness, down the slight incline and into the creek with Ed. He was sitting, leaning back onto his hands in the creek water, his knees pointing up as I fell between them, y palms landing on his knees, catching myself. I pulled my body back, swooping up towards his face accidentally. We both paused, my face could not contain the power of the blush showing now.

Ed seemed to be holding his breath as he glanced down at me and I met his eyes with my own. Everything seemed to stop. The water glistened in his hair, I looked at him with bewilderment and enchantment. I always forgot just how breathtaking Ed's looks were. I couldn't stop myself from staring now, gazing back into his eyes, that seemed to be gazing back into mine. Ed lifted his hand, reaching for my cheek when a voice cleared it's throat from behind us.

"Guys?" I heard from behind us. Instinctively, I pushed Ed back into the water and stumbled back, rushing up towards Al and smiled innocently, stars sparkling around me.

"Hey Al!" I smiled brightly, gleaming as Ed made bubbles in the water I had submerged him into, grumbling my name unhappily.

"Um.. What happened to brother?" Al asked, concern in his voice as he glanced over my shoulder towards the blonde behind me.

"He couldn't handle me in training. Couldn't handle the heat." I stated as a matter of fact. Ed lurched himself out of the water and stormed up the hill towards us. I giggled as I turned to watch him approach us, grumbling angrily as he marched past us.

"Whatever, let's go." He growled.

"Such a bad sport." I tsked him, shaking my finger disapprovingly. He stopped dead in his tracks and marched back, hooking his arm around the back of my neck, pulling me under his arm and continues to walk.

"Ow, ow! Hey, hey!" I struggled and squirmed in his lock as he dragged me forward in a noggie-like lock.

"Come on, Al." Ed called behind us to his brother as Al caught up to us and laughed a bit as I pouted.

"You guys will never change." Al shook his head, affectionately watching us. Ed grinned back at him as I grumbled in discontent. Ed and Al laughed. Seeing them happy, I couldn't help but smile too.
