Ch. 13

Vernon's POV

Holiday was over, everyone had already got back from their hometowns.

Jungah was terrified of Joshua hyung and Joshua hyung is still saying that he doesn't want to trust Jungah anymore and he's against the idea of her staying with the rest of us.

The other members doesn't know about this yet as we are keeping this a secret from them so only those who stayed behind during our holiday break knew what happened.

Jungah's feet is still healing so it was a little hard for her to go anywhere far and Sofia had already went back to our parents's house, she wants to stay a little longer but with all the complications here and there she might not be in the best enviroment.

I stood up from the sitting position on my bed, after 30 minutes of looking at the ceiling before me for no reason and then I carefully climb down from the top of the bunk bed which is my bed.

Everyone in my room was still asleep so I tried my best to keep it quiet so no one realized that I was already up. I walked out of the room on my tippy toes and once I'm out, I head to Jungah's room.

"Jungah? Are you awake yet?" I called as I peek into her room, "yeah, come in oppa" she answered and I followed her orders, I walked in only to find Mingyu hyung on her bed, playing with her phone, "what are you doing here, hyung?" I asked, a little irritated.

Mingyu hyung craned his neck from her pillow and grinned, "I was up early and I got bored, luckily Jungah was awake" he shrugged.

"And by that he means that he woke me up from my sleep only to lay on my bed while playing with my phone" Jungah added while standing up from her sitting position on the floor.

I quickly came up to her and hold her arms, "yah, be careful! You're still healing!" I nagged, she seems to be annoyed by my nags, "it's just blisters Vernon, I'm okay! Besides, it's getting better day by day so chill, okay?" She said, pinching my cheek.

Suddenly Mingyu hyung chuckled, "pffftt, Jungah is treating Vernon like as if he's a 3-years old noisy little brat" he snickered.

I was about to sass him but Jungah cut me off, "and you, Kim Mingyu are no better! You're more of a kid than Vernon is! You're supposed to be the eldest one between the three of us but you act like as if you're the youngest!" She whined while sitting on top of him on his stomach.

Mingyu groaned, "yah yah yah yah! Off! Get off of me!!" He grunted as he tried to get up but I decided to gang up with Jungah on Mingyu hyung so I sat on his legs.

As we were playing, someone came into the room, "yah, what are you two doing on top of Mingyu?" Seungcheol hyung asked.

"We were just punishing Mingyu hyung because he woke Jungah up only to annoy her" I answered him.

He looked at the three of us weirdly vut then he shook his head, "whatever, I need a word with Jungah so both of you, out" Seungcheol hyung said while jabbing his thumb out to the door.

With a sigh, both me and Mingyu hyung left her room with frowns on our faces, "well that was on neither of our plans..." Mingyu hyung mumbled as the door behind us shut closed, "yeah... bummer..." I replied, agreeing with him.

Jungah's POV

I sat crossed-leg on my bed while hugging my pillow and Seungcheol oppa sat on the edge of the bed, "so... what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

He looked at his hands before he looked at me, "do you know what a leader's responsibilities are?" My eyebrows scrunch at his question, "uhm... lead a group?"

"That's right, and not just that, a leader's responsibilities is also to make sure that the members in their group have a good relationship with each other, and not only each other but also the staffs..." he said, he sounded serious for some reason which made me kinda anxious.

I fumble in my seat and burry my mouth on my pillow, "so, what are you trying to say?" I mumbled, voice soften up and my gaze fell onto my bed.

Seungcheol oppa move closer to me, "I need to know... who are you? What's your relationship with Joshua?"

My eyes widened at his question and my head snapped up at him, "w-why are you asking me that? I have no relationship with Joshua oppa, I basically know... his parents..." I said, trying to defend myself as my voice grew quieter.

There was a pause, neither him or me talk before he suddenly sighed, "I need to know the truth... Joshua hasn't been himself recently and to be honest... he has been sleep talking for quite a while, even before debuting..." S.coups oppa then laughed at himself.

My eyes squinted at him, "what do you mean sleep talking?" "He talks in his sleep but that doesn't happen often, and when it does, he calls your name..." he said but then he smirked at me.

His words caught me off guard, "m-my name?" "Yes, and eversince you came he haven't been sleep talking until last night... which is weird, he was sleep talking to the point he said, 'Jungah, oppa is sorry... oppa can't protect you...' which to me is very weird since he never does that to anyone let alone a person that 'only' knows his parents... so tell me, who exactly are you..." he said all those in a hurry, facial expression showed that he's somewhat anxious and curious about this.

I bit my lips and look down in defeat, "fine... I'll tell you... but you gotta promise me you won't tell anyone... and that means ANYONE..." he nod at me, "I promise, you can trust me on it" he smiled while patting my head.

"I'm... his little sister... I was taken away from him since he was 6, he knows me only as a piece of his imagination but that was until the age of 11, after that he completely forgot me..." my head dropped down as I talk about it.

Suddenly S.coups oppa's hand pat my head, I looked up and he smiled at me, "that must've been hard for you... did you come all the way here to tell him?" "Yeah, I did but I don't know... I don't think I should..."

We both then went silent, we didn't know what else to say.

"Does... anybody else knew? Beside me?" He asked, breaking the thick silence between us, "only Vernon and Mingyu... they had been doing a pretty good job in keeping my secret" my answer made myself chuckle at the thought of Mingyu oppa and Vernon oppa.

Seungcheol oppa then stood up and walk over to the door, "just so you know, Jungah... I'll be here to help you however I can..." he smiled one last time before he walked out and both Mingyu oppa and Vernon oppa walked in.

Both of them had a confused expression on their faces, "what did he talk to you about?" Mingyu oppa asked, "he... knew..." I mumbled, then I flopped onto my bed and burry my face on my pillow.

I felt Vernon poke the back of my head with his finger, "knew about what?" He asked, "about the whole me and Joshua oppa thing..." I groaned into my pillow.

They both laughed all of a sudden, I turn my head towards them and squinted my eyes, "what are you both laughing about?" I muttered through gritted teeth, "another member added to the list of 'we know Jungah's little secret'! I wonder who's next?" Vernon oppa answered as he tease me about it with Mingyu oppa.

I clicked my tongue and kicked them both on their legs, "you guys are jerks..."
