Joshua's POV

.

.

Year : 2001

"No! No! Jungaaah!! Wait for oppa!" I called as Jungah waddled off on her own from our shared room, "no, no! Yah!!" I called while sprinting towards my 2 years old little sister,

She almost step onto the stair and came tumbling down to the first floor but I caught her before she could do so, "Jungah! You should've wait for oppa! What if you fell down the stairs, huh?" I scolded while holding her shoulders.

But instead of pouting because I scold her, she giggled and hug me, "play! Play!" She squealed while jumping up and down with full excitement.

I couldn't help but to smile at her and oblige, "fine, come on! Let's go to
our room and play!" I said and was about to lead her to her room when she shook her head with a pout.

Seeing her shaking her head made me frown, "well, where do you wanna play?" I asked her.

She pointed to the living room downstairs whkle pursing her lips cutely at me, as if she was trying to butter me up.

Which in the end, succeeded.

I sighed but a smile was plastered on my face, "fine... but be a good girl and hold oppa's hand while we're going down, okay?" I said while crouching down in front of her to match her height.

Jungah jumped in happiness as a small fit of giggle left her mouth, showing me her small teeth and her happiness.

We both hold each other's hand and I make her hold onto to railings as I guide her down the stairs, "okay, slowly Jungah-yah... we don't want you to fall! One... two... one... two... good! That's it!"

Slowly, we both reach the bottom floor and eventhough she was already safe with both feets on the ground, she refused to let my hands go.

"Come on, Jungah! Let's play in the living room!" I said while softly pulling her to the living room.

With each steps, she would mumble a few words or even try to speak proper sentences with me.

The living room was quite spacious, by the corner of it laid our play pen, mom had put a divider there so when she put Jungah in whenever she need to multitask she'd feel safe knowing that there's no possible way Jungah could ran off or even out on her own unsupervised, mom's too cautious about all that and to add it to mom's worst fear, Jungah's not exactly the calmest person in the house.

I lifted Jungah and put her inside the play pen, not even a second after that she had already ran around and hit the wall.

Seeing her bump her head harshly almost made me jump over and ran to her to see if she was okay.

But by the sight of her giggling while holding her forehead made me sigh in relieve.

After making sure that Jungah is pre-occupied by herself, I walk to the kitchen to take her lunch that mom had prepared.

The reason why there's only us both here in the house was because noona had decided to mess with school and its teacher again so she was sent to the principal's office and she probably won't be out of the office until mom and dad succeed on buttering the principal up.

Thankfully mom trusted me to be in charge of the house.

Frankly speaking, I question mom's descision on trusting a 6 years old with a house... and a small child, I'm also a child, was mom that worried about noona being sent to the principal's office?

Not long after re-heating our lunch, I walk back to her play pen, "baby, come on! It's time to eat lunch! Mom made kimbap today" I called while climbing in.

She then ran to me and slam her body onto mine, almost making us both stumble and fall, "what? What? What?" She asked with full curiosity on me.

"Sit down first then oppa will give you food" I then pull her small table out and she immediately rush to sit down next to me as I put the plate on the table.

"Now, remember what you have to do before e-"

I cut myself off mid-sentences when I saw her already closing her eyes, hands clasped together and her forehead pressed onto the table.

I grinned and quickly joing her position, I close my eyes and said my own prayers.

After I finished my prayer I look up to see Jungah looking straight at me with a grin on her face, "what?" I asked, grinning back.

She giggled and pointed at me, "merong~" was all she said before letting out a fit of giggles.

"Why you-"

I then pull her legs towards me and sat her down on my lap as she continue laughing, "let's eat, okay? Sit nicely and after this maybe mom will let you eat ice cream"

Hearing that she sat down nicely by herself on my lap.

She reach for her fork and began eating sloppily, "Jungah! You're very dirty!" I teased while starting to eat too.

Jungah turn her head towards me and pouted.

"am not!!" She exclaimed.

"is too!"

"Am not!!"

"Is too!"

"AM NOT!!!!"

"Well, have you take a bath today?" I asked or more likely tease her.

She pursed her lips and shook her head before continue eating again.

After we both finished eating, we both decided to play until mom and dad arrives with noona.

Jungah, being the hyper kid she is decided to drag me into a game of hide and seek.

At first I was reluctant about it, but seeing her sad face when I said I didn't want to almost break my heart into tiny trillions of billions of pieces.

So of course I ended up agreeing to her idea which made her so very happy about it.

She then went off running to hide somewhere in the house as soon as I said that I'll play hide and seek with her.

"....9 .... 10! Ready or not, here I come!" I called, I then began to look for her.

I began searching for her in the living room and the kitchen where there were tons of large spots to hid in.

She wasn't in the kitchen nor the living room, so I look to our shared room.

But she wasn't there either.

I began to panic.

I ran around everywhere calling her name when I stumble and fell from tripping on the door of our laundry room.

My head peeked inside first to scan the room, "Jungah? Are you here?" I called before stepping in.

The sight of an opened washing machine caught my interest and when I peek inside, I saw Jungah sleeping soundly with her knees tucked to her chest and her head tilted to the side.

I sighed in relief when I finally found her.

My hands reach to her and I slowly lift her up and slowly adjust her so she's comfortable as I carry her.

Thank God she wasn't that heavy.

I put her down in her bed but as soon as my arms slid off of her body, she began to toss and whine.

"Oh, oh... shh... baby, shh..." I whispered while patting her head gently before eventually deciding to climb onto the bed with her and lay down.

When my eyes began to feel drowsy too, I scooted closer to her and laid my head right next to hers, "I love you sis... and I won't let anything drive us apart"
