Break Up In A Small Town- Sam Hunt ----------------------------------------------Taylor's POV

I SIGHED AND SAID "It's complicated." Daryl let out a frustrated sigh and said "You should rest. You had a long day today, and your ankle needs to get better."

I nodded and climbed on the mattress that we call a bed. Soon, I fell asleep.

I woke up to someone shaking me gently. I looked up and Rick said "Come on. You need to come outside." I tilted my head but nodded as he helped me up.

We walk outside and Rick said,

"Stay here and watched our backs." I nodded and he walked away. I rolled my eyes at his back and whisper,

"He woke me up just to watch them fix a damn fence then told me to 'stay' like a dog. Wait, did he call me a bitch? That little..."

Hershel and everyone else walks out and was cheering him on. I sat down and I smiled. I saw Carl and called for him. He ran up to me and I held out my hand. He sighed and pulled me up.

I smiled and I wrapped my arms around him. I squeeze him and whispered, "Thanks kid. Really. You're awesome."

He pulled away and flipped the little bit of his hair and said, "Thank you. I already know."

I smiled and pushed him. Alarms started to go off. I looked around to see walkers coming at us. I grabbed Carl's hand and ran to Lori. I took her hand and opened a door and ran in. Halfway down the hall, Lori grunted in pain and squeeze my hand. I looked at her and she said, "The baby, it's coming."

I took a deep breath and Carl yelled, "Guys! In here!"

We went inside and I helped Lori pull her pants down. She said, "Taylor, I'm going to start pushing, okay?"

I widen me eyes but took deep breaths. You have to look at it this way. I'm a 27 year old with a huge secret that Spencer doesn't even know about to help a women deliver her baby and I don't have any experience with it.

She began pushing and blood began pouring out on my hands. I said quickly, "Lori, stop."

She looked back and saw the blood. She took and deep breath and laid down. She said "All right, Carl, baby, come here. Carl kneeled down and she started talking to him. When she was done, tears were pooling down my cheeks. She looked at me and said "Taylor, I need you to look after Carl and Rick and this baby. Please. And I want you to help Rick find love again. I know that this is the apocalypse and there ain't that much people around, but please help him. Hell, it's could be you for all I care. But I see how your and Daryl look at each other and how y'all act around each other. Just keep Daryl from killing Rick."

I chuckled a little and she continued,
"I also want you to know that you are beautiful and smart and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Thank you for all that you have done for us. Please tell Rick that I love him and I didn't want it to end this way."

I took a deep breath and smiled weakly at her. I nodded and said "I'll look after them."

She said, "Take Carl's knife and cut along the C-Section scar the I had with Carl."

Carl handed me his knife and I took a deep breath. I counted down from 3 and whispered,

"I'm so sorry Lori."

She screamed out in pain then she went limp. I felt around for the baby and gently pulled it out. They weren't breathing so I patted their back and the baby started crying. I said,

"Carl, hand me your jacket."

He looked at the baby and took his jacket off and handed it to me. I wrapped the baby around it and I looked at Lori. I tried to wipe my tears but they kept streaming down, so I gave up.

I got up and said, "Come on Carl. We have to get back to the others."

He took a deep breath and said, "I can't let her turn."

I nodded and went to the door. Then I jumped when I heard the gun. A couple seconds later Carl walked by me and I followed him.

We finally made it outside and I push a door which made a loud creaking noise making everyone turned to us. My eyes met Rick's and I saw all hope leave him.
