I sit in class and I can't shake the feeling of guilt. Had I done something wrong? Is that why Harry isn't answering my calls texts and whispering about me to his friends?
When the bell rings for lunch I make my way to my locker, but I take my time today because I'm not in a chipper mood.
When I reach my locker I put my books in then stand there for a few seconds, staring at the floor without realization. Something rattles the lockers next to me and I pop my head up.
It's Jackson. "Hey you." His smile warms my heart, but not in the romantic way.
"Hey." I mumble, closing the locker door. He catches on to my mood and rests his hand on my shoulder.
"What's going on? Is everything alright?" I start down the hall with him beside me and I explain what's going on. Ever since that day in the principles office I know I can trust Jackson with the drama having to do with Harry and I's supposed relationship.
"So now he's just not talking to you?" He furrows his eyebrows, we are walking into the cafeteria now.
"Pretty much. He hasn't talked to me since this morning. He always talks comes to my classes after every class to walk me to my next one." I readjust the books in my arms. "Today he didn't."
"What a dick." He growls. I stop in my tracks and look up at him.
"He's not a dick. This is just him. Okay?" I say defending Harry. Jackson looks shocked, probably because I nearly lost my temper. "Look Jackson, he may not seem like a good guy but he is." I say. "So don't say that about him."
"You're right. I'm sorry." I frowns.
Someone coughs from beside us and we both turn our heads. Niall stands holding a lunch tray, looking between Jackson and I with no suspicion.
"Hey, Niall." I smile.
"Hey. Harry sent me over to get you." He says harmlessly and I scoff.
"Why couldn't he just come over and get me himself?" I say and Niall nervously shrugs.
"Don't shoot the messenger!" He defends himself. I peer over his shoulder to see Liam Louis and Zayn sitting at their usual table. Liam and Zayn are both turned around in their seats talking to some girls and Louis seems to be trying to whisper something Harry but he's too preoccupied staring threateningly at Jackson.
"Whatever." I huff. "I'll see you later Jackson." I wave before following Niall to the table.
I take the spot across from Harry instead on beside, this way in sitting between Liam and Niall.
I sit with my hands resting on top of my books and I stare at Harry, who hasn't taken his eyes off me yet. His eyes are hooded, and if I didn't know him I would probably be terrified.
"Well." I spit when the silence gets too loud. He clenches his jaw.
"Well what?" He says just as frustrated.
"What do you want?" I say. "Why did you call me over?" I huff.
"I didn't call you over, Niall did." He nods to Niall who looks terrified sitting between us.
"Whatever. If you're going to be like that I'll just go sit with Jackson or something." He immediately scoffs.
"Oh no you won't." He barks.
"If you're going to act like this yes I am." I start to raise out of my seat and he nearly jumps out of his.
"Sit down." He instructs, his voice cutting through me.
