I mindlessly pick at the steaming french fries that sit on my plate. "Has Colten asked you to prom already?" Michelle raises her brow questioningly at Madison. Colten has the biggest crush on Madison and we're waiting until he asks her to prom because Colten is quite attractive so Madison told us of he did ask.. she'd agree.

"He did!" She grins as she takes a bit out of her burger. Every Friday night my group of friends and I eat dinner at the diner by the school. The diner is quaint and it's a hangout for most teens in Chicago. It has an old school 80's look to it.

"Man you've had a great day so far haven't you?" I chuckle. "First you find out you got into IFA Paris, then Colten Marin asks you to prom." I roll my eyes in amusement. Jackson still hasn't asked me to prom yet. If we don't get tickets soon then we both can't go.

"I know right! Can you imagine me living in Paris.. Designing clothes?!" Madison squeals. "I've already learned some French" she tells us.

"Let's hear it!" Michelle manages to mumble through the many French fries stuffed in her mouth.

"Où est le garçons français?" She says proudly with her best French accent. A wide smile is displayed on her face in happiness. "That means 'Where are the french boys?' How cool is that?!" She bounces up and down in the small booth in excitement.

"Audrey is that Jackson?" Michelle interrupts by sticking her arm out and pointing towards the door of the diner. There I see Jackson walk in with his friend Boyd by his side. I watch as Jackson approaches the counter and orders some food before turning back to Boyd with a displeased look.

"It is.." I furrow my brow in confusion. Jackson earlier told me that he was busy tonight having dinner with his moms family. I get up from the booth and walk over to Jackson who is deep into a conversation with Boyd. "Hey baby.." I approach Jackson by placing my small hand on his shoulder blade.

"Drea!" He spins around on his stool and plants a long kiss on my lips. Once we pull away I feel all the eyes on me. "You know Boyd?" Jackson quirks his eyebrow to me as he gestures to the tall boy next to him.

"Yeah!" I say flashing a kind smile to Boyd who returns the gesture. "Do you want to come sit with us? We're almost done but.." I trail off and turn to my friends who are deep into a conversation.

"We were just picking up takeout actually.. I got a football thing tonight." Jackson frowns will picking up his takeout box. "Maybe I'll stop by later?" He asks after he kisses me on the temple.

"Um, ya sure!" I smile, awkwardly playing with my hands. I make my way back to the booth after Jack and Boyd leave and Michelle and Madison both turn to me with worried looks.

"Where's he off to?" Michelle asks as she slurps down the rest of her cherry Coke. I pull out my purse and begin to pay the bill that the waitress has kindly set out for us.

"Some football thing." I mumble, disappointment clear in my voice. I begin the ponder the idea of telling them about Jackson. He hasn't been the same lately. Like when we get together he's always so touchy, grabbing all he can and he's become fond of PDA. I don't have a big issue with either of those things it's just not the Jackson I know.

"Are you guys okay?" Madison perks her brown brow. Of coarse I need to tell them. Their my best friends and they can keep any secret I throw their way.

"I'm not completely sure.." I lower my voice. Both look up at me with worried looks. "He's been acting odd lately and I have no idea why." I shrug setting down our money and tip.

"I've actually noticed." Madison tell me. I love Jackson so much I couldn't bare losing him. What if his behaviour is him taking a step towards separating? The closer we get to graduating the more we talk about or future. Jackson is going to Ohio State and I'm staying here and Chicago, so long distance is all we can do, minus the visits on weekends and holidays. But what if Jackson can't cope with long distance? What if he wants to see other people because he's bored with me?
