A Roller Coaster Ride We're On || (n.j.) || Book 1

24~Suprise!

"I've packed our bags and got ahold of my manager, so we're all set to go!" Nick says to me. This morning he surprised me that we were going to the Bahamas for my 22nd birthday.
Nick and I are just having some time to ourselves and it's going to be great. We're going to go to the beach, maybe some shopping, sightseeing. I'm just so excited.

"Okay, I'm ready to go." I tell him excitedly. He smiles at me.

"Oh Nick, I'm just so excited!" I say, throwing my arms around him.

"Me too." He smiles again.

"Let's go!" I literally jump up and down.

"Okay, okay." Nick just laughs.
Then we are on our way.

Nick's POV
"That was a nice flight." I tell Charlotte.

"Yeah, I guess. The turbulence was horrible." She tells me. The plane went through turbulence about 3 times, Charlotte was not happy.

"Well, we're on the ground now." I sling my arm across her shoulders.

"Thank God. I just wanna get our bags and go back to the hotel." She says.

"Gotcha."

Charlotte and I get to our hotel room and drop our bags instantly.

"I'm so tired." Charlotte plops onto our bed. Well there's two beds, but I'm pretty sure we're sharing one.

"Yeah, me too." I lay down next to her.

"But I wanna go do stuff and look around and ugh." She throws her hands up.

"Well, we've got 5 days here."

"I know, I know." She says.

"But we could just take a nap for a little while." I tell her, pulling her into a hug.

"Yeah." Charlotte yawns. I kiss the top her head and my girlfriend falls asleep in my arms.

Charlotte's POV
"Nick! Give me my camera!" I giggle, trying to get my Polaroid camera from my boyfriend's grasp.

"Nuh uh. Maybe I wanna take a picture," Nick starts," there's only one way to get it." He smirks.

"Fiinnneeeeee." I whine, then I kiss him for about 2 minutes.

"That's better. I missed that." Nick smiles, handing me back my camera.

"Hm." I smile. Nick and I take a few more pictures together and go sightseeing. We also decide to go to the beautiful beach. I bought myself a new, white, bikini at one of the shops.

"Nickkkkk!" I yell as my boyfriend picks me up and runs me into the water.

"Yes Charlotte?" We both come to the surface for air.

"Why?" I laugh.

"Because I wanted to, that's why." Nick wipes my hair from my face.

"I love you Nicholas." I say, kissing his nose.

"Is that who I think it is?" Nick turns to the shore. I see a girl with black hair running towards us. She's got on a bright pink bikini.

"Carli?!" Nick yells as the woman becomes more visible.

"Yes, pumpkin?"

"What ar-"

"Smile for the camera!" Carli tells Nick, putting her arms around him and smiling. Cameras are flashing, everywhere. I'm on the side, looking at them in disgust. Then Nick does something I never thought he would. He pushes Carli away, hard.
The paparazzi gasp and take much more pictures. Nick instantly pulls me by the hand and we got back to the car, paparazzi on heel.

Nick's POV
"Oh my god! I hate girl!" I say, slamming my fist down on the counter, causing Charlotte to jump.

"I'm going to go shower." She whispers, scurrying into the bathroom. Carli has to freaking ruin all of my happiness. It makes me so upset I could just scream.

"Charlotte? Sorry if I made you a little scared." I say, opening the bathroom door a little bit.

"It's fine." I can see my girlfriend in the mirror, an upset look on her face. Also, she's just in a bra. Okayyyy.
"This was supposed to be our time together." Charlotte opens the door and pulls me into a hug.

"I know, I know. I'm so sorry baby." I stroke her hair and kiss her on the head.

"But, I should shower. I feel gross." Charlotte pulls away from me and wipes at her eyes.

"Okay. Love you." I reply, closing the door.
I get in our bed and scroll through Twitter. There are so many pictures of Carli and I from today. Some are photoshopped and others aren't. Carli has commented on all of them. All of her comments were how great we look together and how amazing our relationship is going and blah blah blah. At this point, I really want to punch her in the face. And I'm not always one for violence. I think some alone time with Charlotte will do me good.

"Oh my god. Those showers are the best. I never want to leave." Charlotte comes out in an extra large t-shirt.

"I haven't had to chance to try them." I say.

"Best trip ever. Apart from your evil ex." Charlotte giggles. I love her laugh, it's just so cute.

"Yeah. I have no idea how she even found us." I say, scratching the back of my neck.

"But, now I have you all to myself." My girlfriend poked my nose.

"Yes ma'm." I smile at her. I then have the best idea ever. I get on top of Charlotte and start to tickle her sides. She goes crazy.

"Not again!!" She squeals. I tickle her as fast as possible. This is actual fun. She laughs hysterically until I stop. She laughed so hard that she started to cry.
Charlotte looks at me so passionately with her gorgeous hazel eyes. She smiles up at me and I smile back. I love this girl. Charlotte, then, makes her lips look ready to kiss me. It's quite amusing, actually. I lean down and kiss her.

"I missed that." She giggles, softly. Then we start to make out.
