*I Remember*

I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember our parents saying good bye to us before they left. I remember the pain I felt when they never returned. I remember when we finally realized that all we had left were each other, that we had to stick together, and that I would always have to look over her...forever and always.
***Eleven Years Later***
Since I was five I've been kept in a cage called a foster home. There's only one reason why I've never been adopted. The reason being. . . Paige. I seriously don't know what I would do without her. We've known each other since we were both in each of our mothers stomachs. We are the only thing close to family we have.
All people ever what to do is to adopt one child. I will never be separated from her. Paige needed me and I needed her too. But now we're sixteen, so there's no way we're getting adopted now.
"Justin," said a soft, distant voice, "are you awake?" I realized who's whispering voice it belonged to.
"What, Paige?" I whispered without opening my eyes.
"I need to talk to you, scoot over." She commanded. I moved my body so that there was just enough room for both of us on the small twin sized bed. "This better be worth waking me up at 3am" I told her after I peaked at my watch.
"It is, I promise. Okay, so I've been thinking. We've been hear for so long and I think I'm ready to break free" Paige explained.
I could relate. So many things I wanted to do but I was trapped. The thing was, how was I suppose to get out?
"Thats actually not a bad thought. I'm assuming that you have an escape plan." I joked.
"Of course I do, thats why I'm over here. We're leaving tonight."
"What do you Mean?" I asked shocked.
"I mean grab your bag and start packing"
