My New "Hero"

-Chapter Three-

Date: April 20

"I got a case! I got a f*cken case" my brother shouted with excitement. "We need to f*cken celebrate! Call Monica, I'll invite you guys to dinner" he requested happily. "Congratulations" I told Ian wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Monica. Can you come over, Ian invited you for dinner. He finally got a case and he wants to celebrate with us" I rushed.

"Oh my gosh!! I'll be right there" she squealed. I hung up and quickly changed into something more presentable. I shoved my sweats and sweater into the dirty laundry bin and raised downstairs. "Hey" Monica shouted. I greeted her with a hug, and so did my.. brother. Wtf is going on.

I gave Monica a confused expression and she mouthed "We'll tell you at dinner". Who's we'll? Damn I'm good at mouth reading! Before I could interrogate both of them, my mother came downstairs ready to leave.

"To my case" my brother cheered proudly holding up a glass of champagne. "To your case" the three of us repeated -my mother, Monica, and I. We drank our champagne and cheered. "So what's the case about honey?" my mother asked. "Umm well its about drugs. Were trying to find out who sells them because two teenagers died of smoking heroine. Were gonna arrest the dealers and also the people who brought it".

"Oh dear" mom whispered shaking her head slowly. My heart rate started beating slower as I recalled the night I smoked with Alex, Monica, Brian, and Steven. Cough. Cough. Cough. "Are you okay. You don't look so well" Ian remarked looking directly at me. "Me? No. I'm better than ever, ha. I just need to use the restroom. Monica?".

We both stood up and raced to the restroom. "What the f*ck" I gushed. "I know. I know. It was just one time, chill he won't find out. Now, compose yourself and let's go out there" Monica comforted. "It wasn't only one time" I admitted making Monica look worried. "Well. It is, starting now" she said sternly. I composed myself and exited the ladies room.

"So what was it you and Monica wanted to tell us" I interjected. Monica's expression went serious. "Well.. we um" she mumbled "Were dating since she became eighteen this month" Ian finished off. I laughed unstoppably. "What's so funny" Ian snapped trying his best to be serious. "No-tt-ing" I choked. "Mom" Ian waited. "Well. I think it's fine. I mean she's already old enough and you are mature enough to be in a relationship so, why not!" my so lovely mother confessed.

Monica smiled and hugged Ian. Great. No I'm gonna be third wheeling it! I felt proud of them. They looked so happy together. Something kinda made me wish that, that was me. I sorta felt jealous, they looked so darn happy and in love. I smiled and toasted "For love". "For love" they mocked in a chorus.
...
After ten minutes of making out with my brother, Monica left. Okay, not ten but it was soooo long!!! What a great day. I thought as I climbed onto my bed. Buzz. buzz. buzz. Message!!

Alex: Hey, do you wanna hang.
Me: Hi. When?
I nervously looked at the time. Its barely five.
Alex: Now
Me: Yeah sure. Where?
Alex: Same spot.
Me: Alright meet you there in ten.
Alex: Okay see you.
I changed into a pair of jeans and a black hoodie. "I'm going out with a friend. Ill be back by ten" I shouted.
"Okay" Ian approved.
...
I got to the small park in which me and Alex would meet to buy the drugs. "Hey" he greeted as I approached him. "Hey" I mocked.
"We need to talk" he mumbled leaning closer to me. "Okay" I agreed.
"I like you Emma. I really do. I just had to get this off my f*cken chest. It was killing me to not tell you" he confessed tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. "I-i uhh" I mumbled.

"Its fine if you don't feel the same way". I pecked his lips and he returned the action. "I love you" he whispered in between kisses. "Me too". "Say it" he dared. "Alex I f*cken love you" I yelled loudly. He kisses me once more and took out his pipe and a small bag like the times before.

"Ready" he asked turning on the lighter. I nodded in response.

...Sorry Monica, it wasn't the last time.
