One day there were Israelites who reported unto their elders that there was new farmland available throughout Aquitania.

When Matiyahu heard this he became suspicious.

''How can it be, that the people suddenly change their attitude towards us? Just like that? Something isn't right here.''

Matthew and several Israelites take their horses and visit many of the so called farm lands that were made available to the Israelites. Their journey took two months. There was nothing wrong with the properties. The soil is fertile, the houses are well furnished and there are animals sufficient around.

Matiyahu still felt a sense of danger with the whole thing, yet because he couldn't see nor find any evidence to back up his gut feeling, he decided to let it go. Instead, he purchased several villages, a price paid of 7000 Denarii. He send the Israelites from Africa towards those villages to inhabit them. Furthermore, he departed to Pax Julia to visit some distant relatives of him. The granddaughter of Queen Aegaia of Lusitania, who was a concubine of King Matiyahu I of Judah, later divorced her husband and remarried with an African Israelite, the grandfather of Matiyahu ( who was a fisherman). They brought forth Matiyahu's mother. Matiyahu II remained in Lusitania for five weeks. He didn't mention to his distant relatives that he was the head of state of Judah. He pretended to be a sojourner who's touring through Spain.
