Eponine's P.O.V.

It's really quiet at the barricade, or it's loud and I've just gone deaf, either way I can't hear a thing. Not even Grantiare collapsing on the floor! No Enjolras yelling, no Joan and Courfeyrac arguing, no Jehan giggling as he braids his hair. No sound whatsoever. I quietly walk around the barricade respecting this silence, I can't seem to find my voice to break it anyway. I stop and think, am I dead? Is that why it's so silent, is the afterlife a silent eternity? I pinch myself, nope I'm still alive, If I still am why in the world is it so quiet? My foot hits something, a bottle, I follow the direction the bottle had rolled from. Grantiare lies on the ground mouth open silently breathing, I suppose he passed out. I see Combferre, Courfeyrac, Feuilly, Joan and Gavroche huddled together asleep. I catch a glimpse of Enjolras writing in the cafe window. Jehan is making a daisy chain, I'm surprised he isn't humming some happy tune to himself, but perhaps he also lost his voice. Lesgle watches Joly treat a wound on Bossuet's arm, in respectful silence. Which leaves me to wonder where's Marius and Bahorel? I then see Bahorel asleep in a corner. But still where's Marius? I hear a loud crash, my head spins everyone except for Grantiare wakes up. Marius steps out of the cafe looking apologetic, I look inside to see a heap of broken plates on the floor. Enjolras silently observes the wreckage. Musichetta (who owns the cafe and apparently has the right to be there) frowns and cleans it up, silently. It's almost like everyone is on mute! I ponder on this then go and huddle up with Combferre, Courfeyrac, Feuilly, Joan and Gavroche who have gone back to their slumber. I stare at the sky as a random thought hit me, seriously I accidentally hit my head on a chair leg. Would we last the night?

A.N. Hi! Sorry this is short I'll try to do better next time. Silence is hard to write about. Don't you fret however they shall last the night! It might be a few nights/scenes later when they die. Okay another quick question: Would you prefer a story about Joan's past or a story about their life well more like their afterlife... Please

Continue loving Les Miserables!

P.S. On a totally un-related note do any of you like Fiddler On the Roof? I love that play a lot! One of my first plays! :) Ooh! I also have a pic of Joan (er at least how I imagine her, and it's actually a girl playing Eponine, but they both disguised themselves in this story!) And I lost the picture. -_-
