Chrene's P.O.V.
"Mom! I'm leaving!" I yelled as I step out of my brown and white house. It's been 5 years that I've lived in California. Today's my last day here due to my parents job transfer. Sucky thing.
I'm moving halfway across the country and living in Minnesota. What does Minnesota have? Do they have beaches? No! Hot guys? Maybe... But I love California. It's where I belong.
"Okay!" She yelled back, moving boxes from the house to the truck.
As I'm walking to my high school-Wood Dree, I know, weird name. I take out my compact mirror and look at myself. My dark brunette hair fell a bit past my elbows, curled in. The light brown eyeshadow I had on shows off my blue eyes. Blue eyes and dark hair, does that even go together?
"Rena!" I hear Ash call. Ash, short for Ashley, calls me over. She's call me Rena the first day she saw me. Ash is sitting with a bunch of other girls, chit-chatting.
"Hey!" I exclaim and sit beside them on the school's front. I get a greet from all the other girls too. Which I know as- Christina, Emily, Anna, Hanna, Beatrice and Cayla. I'm popular here and I know everyone. And everyone knows me. 'Cause I'm a cheerleader.
"I heard you're moving?" Beatrice asks.
"Yeah, today's my last day." My bottom lip sticks out.
"Aww, so are you gonna tell Drew you like him or not before you move?" Ash asks.
"Well duh. Heck I am!" I'm a really determined and stubborn person. I always do as I want.

I've been thinking about telling Drew or not. I said that I was, but that's how popular girls act. They act as if they are but they're really scared inside. Drew was the football team's captain and insanely hot. He's been single all year which is really surprising. After school I met up with him on the school's front.
"Hey Drew." I grabbed his shoulder.
"Hey Chrene! I heard you were moving?" He smiles, showing his only dimple on his left.
"Yeah. Listen, I wanted to tell you something before I leave."
His beautiful and bright golden orbs stared right into my blue ones.
"I.. I really liked you and I just wanted to tell you that before I left." I tried to keep my head up so he wouldn't suspect that I am beat red from blushing.
He chuckles then says "You're the prettiest girl, no, most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I've liked you since day one. It's hard to know if someone likes you, that's why I never asked you out. But what can I do? You're leaving." His large and warm hands grab my small ones and lace our fingers together.
I am very surprised and I feel like this is just a dream, but Drew's touch is reality. He likes me and I like him.
"D'you wanna walk home with me?" I ask.
"I'd love to." He smiles.
On the way home we talked about where I was gonna go live and wishing each other the bests.
"I'm really glad we got that out. The sucky thing is that we can't be together." I sigh.
"Bye Chrene." His sticks both of his hands into his pockets.
"I don't want to say good bye. I possibly can see you in the future!" I almost shout.
He lets out a small laugh and says "You're right. Then keep this with you."
He pulled me by my waist, our foreheads touching then his pink lips landed on mine. His lips were soft. My hands found their way into his hair. I can feel the electricity run through us. I pulled back, breathless.
"I'm sure gonna keep that!" I proclaimed.
"Bye Chrene." He hugs me one more time before waving off.
And that was the last time I saw Drew Tophen.
