Later that day I'm in my room listening to music and scrolling through tumblr.
After awhile I get up and grab some chocolate left over from my birthday (Nay is the best!!).
The corous of use somebody (kings of leon) comes on and so i sing along as loud as i can and start dancing my way back to my bed, because who wouldn't?
"Hey there songbird" I hear a smooth voice behind me
"OMEGOWD" I jump back looking round to see where the voice is coming from.
"I'm over here" the curtains moves slightly...
I walk over what is this jerk doing here open and the curtains and sitting in the branch of the oak tree just outside my room is Joe my new neighbour,
"Alright songbird" he repeats grinning at me
"What the hell?? How long have you been there you creep??" I say angrily
"Oh i only climbed up here when I heard your sweet singing" he bats his eye lashes at me.
I can't help but smile but I quickly change my expression back to annoyance
"Alright Romeo what to you want?"
"Nothing darling, just admiring the art work again"
Ugh what a charmer...
"Well can you stop?"
"I could or you could come with me"
What?
"What,where?" I say impatiently
"To work" he says throwing a twig at me like a child "I was just there and I mentioned I was your new neighbour, looks like your quite the favourite" he winks at me "well anyways cherry -cherry is the owner of the shack, she's in her 60s and needs more help than she used to hence me and I assume Joe now- says if we can both go in at 3.00pm to help get everything ready to open for the summer that would be great...and we get double money"
He finishes swinging on the branch above him making me cringe its so high up!
"Oh...well I guess I'll get ready and meet you in 15?"
"Sure thing song bird" he winks at me and swings down the tree like a monkey
Ugh that guy is annoying
Instead of the clothes a have on I have to change into my uniform, -it's actually a really nice one we can wear whatever trousers/skirts/dresses we like and all we have to put on top is a big demin shirt, with the words - cherry's staff - embroidered on the back in red with a few iron on transfer things one's a bunch of cherries there's a milkshake and a surf board other than those we can add what we like, you can buy them in the shop and there are so many different ones to choose from I have added a tinkerbell one an astronaut one and heart so far- I usually go for a tumblr stlye crop/baggy top depending on, the temperature and my mood and bikini top and shorts or jeans but it's not that hot today so, once I have my black skater dress and the shirt and a couple of "my long hippy necklaces" as my mum calls them, I grab my red vans, my bag and an apple on the way out.
Joe's waiting by a vintage looking pale blue Mini he leaning on the edge with a cigarette in his mouth looking down at his phone - ew this guy smokes...well what did I expect-
"You better not let cherry see you smoking that" I say turning my nose up at the thing in him mouth
He looks up at me with wide eyes.
"Also" I carry on despite the fact I've known him less than a day "do you have any idea how much your damaging yourself? I mean your so much more likely to die young if you smoke and in a much more painful way and..." I stop because he's laughing at me "this is not funny!!"
"it kinda is" he says taking the 'cigarette' out his mouth.
"Oh"
"Yeah"
What he had just taken out his mouth was not in fact a unlit cigarette like I thought it was one of those candy ones you get a free tattoo with.
Great now I made myself look like an idiot
"My dear dear darling!!!"
I here Cherry cry before my face is covered with the curly blonde mass that is her hair
"oh how I've missed you"
I smile "ThaNKS" I say and my voice rises at the end as I trip over a box that's on the floor
"Ah well that's one thing I haven't missed....still clumsy I see" Cherry laughs
I'm lying flat on my back with my legs still over the box trying to keep my dress from riding up and showing my tinker bell pants yes alright I'm a child.
Joe is laughing so much I think he might hyperventilate.
"Oh dear. Joe be a gentleman and help her up!" Cherry says as she controls her laughter
I stop my giggling instantly and scramble up, "I'm alright really Cherry I'm okay...I um...what sha...shall I do?" I say quickly trying to move past the moment.
Joe's still smirking trying to hold in his laugh seriously what jerk.
"Well you can get Joe a shirt from out back I think there's one that will fit him...in fact you might as well go with her Joey dear, and try them on." She smiles sweetly "sure thing ma'am" he says equally sweetly back smiling, well I guess I know why he got the job now, charmer.
As we walk away Cherry winks at me.

In the store room out the back I look round for the boxes of shirts and I see they're on the top self great I reach up and try to get it but it's to high and my dress is to short.
"Here sweetie pie let me" Joe says laughing at my struggle.
When he's finally got the box down I find I shirt that looks like it should fit him and throw it over to him.
"Thanks chica" he winks
"No problem jerk" I flutter my eye lashes at him
He pokes his toung out and shoves his arms into the shirt.
And oh my.
