Beach baby

"What the bloody hell are you doing up my tree, how long have you been there?! What are you doing?! you can't just spy on me!!" I let the words stumble out over each other

"Oh..um..." Joe stutters before regaining his cool "I don't need to spy on you chica I could have a private show any time I wanted, we both know that"

It takes all my energy not to push him out of the bloody tree instead I just ignore him.

"Go and get in your cars monkey boys, we'll meet you at the beach... stay around Cherry's alright?" I order.
That should give us a little more time to get ready.

"LET'S GO TO THE BEACH EACH LET'S GO GET AWAY THEY SAY......." me and Naomi revived somewhat after a huge pile of pancakes and coffee sing and dance along to the radio while getting out stuff packed, in the back of my beautiful pale blue vw camper van my Nanna gave me for my 16th birthday.

I jump out and strap my surf board to the roof the only way I can do this is to stand on the roof and hope I don't fall off while scrambling around up there.

I swing down through the open front window into the driver's seat Naes already in the passenger seat wearing a white bikini with gold beads at the tie on the back. a short, navy blue, halter neck, sundress thrown over the top with her long, brown hair, with dirty blonde highlights down messily-- still with a braid we had done when we went into town last week in because we always used to get them when we were first a loud into town by ourselves, I have one too but the sea and sand, has started to pull mine out. -- she looks amazing in an effortless way, that's the thing I'm always jealous about with Nae she can put whatever she likes on and still manages to look like shes spent 3 hours getting ready.

I'm wearing a deep blue bikini with a pair of Levi mom style roll up short, shorts and a baggy white camisole top loosely tucked in to my shorts with my favourite long necklace of mine which is a fairly dainty silver wave my dad got me just before he last went away for business.

"Right are we ready bbbbb??!!" I grin at Nae.
No reply...
"Nae? ?"
...
"NAOMI?!!!" I half laugh half shout obviously the coffee didn't effect her much, since she just fell asleep against the window.

"Whaattamas?!! Umfyeah?!" She sits up straight
I laugh and pull out the drive way.

When we arrive at the beach, the boys are sitting right where I told them too just outside Cherry's which it closed at the moment because it's a Sunday morning.

"Eeek Lewisss!!" Niaomi runs across to him falling into his arms as he kisses her...nice welcome I'm just thinking how cute it is when I notice Joe giving me a look and I instantly know what he means....

"JOEE" I squeal "I'm sorry I was grumpy this morning baby" I pout as I start to run over to him as we meet I stumble into his arms just like Naomi and Lewis did...for a moment I think the jokes over there and I start to laugh but Joe catches my chin before I can react he starts kissing me pulling me towards him a little more so I'm pushing him on the wall of Cherry's.

I suddenly remember where we are and pull away pushing him in the chest laughing casually I grin round at everyone "that's how lame you looked" I wink at Nae.
It takes longer for Joe to regain his cool again "yeah mate you're such a loser" he nudges Lewis as he walks towards the beach, we all follow him.

What the hell just happened.

He just kissed me.

"Whoaaa surfs up dudddeee" I tune in to one of the boys laughing and look out across the water to be fair we're at the surfers end of the beach where the direction of the wind means big waves - the other end is always calm and best for swimming or paddle boarding- but I've not seen waves this big in a while even on this beach. I instantly forget what just happened and I'm in the shallows with my board before anyone else can comment on the waves.

"That was amazing not had waves like that in so long!!" I call up the beach as a slowly walk up it with nate towards the others

"Hannah your amazing...?!?" Lewis stares at me like I've grown another head or something.

"Seriously" Joe adds staring at me in a different way to Lewis with a smirk on his face.

"Hey?" Nate grumps "I was out there too but never mind concentrate on the one with boobs, this isn't Baywatch you know" he grumbles. Everyone laughs
"Ahh sorry babe we knew you could surf" Lewis winks. It's just now that I notice all the boys are topless and the abs that surround me are ridiculously defined.
I catch Naes gaze fixed on me. I quickly look away towards the sea.
"The waves look calmer" I comment casually "maybe we can swim later?"
"Sounds good to me" Nae replies lazily, surfings never been her thing.
There's a murmur of agreement from everyone.
"Uh hey I thought I might invite some people here tonight have a bit of a party?" Jack suggests

"Ooo fun fun fun" Nae giggles lounging on Lewis who I can't tell if he's asleep or not behind the expensive ray bans covering his eyes- Lewis is known for having one of the richest family's in our school they basically live in a mansion, his parties are known to be reckless and rich with $500 bottles of champagne on tap, his family pay for him to take 10 friends out to Austria in the winter to their private ski chalet with Maids and chalet girls....on tap....
"Yeah awesome" I smile slumping down on the sand as I take a bite out of a doughnut i bought a packet of.

"A party sounds good mate but can we keep it low key?" Yes! Joe my saviour. It's not that I don't like parties, I love them it's just I'm tired and wanted to spend the evening with a few people I actually kind of like not a beach full of drunk idiots that I hoped I wouldn't have to see until school started again.
"Sure just one person for each single here yeah ?" Jack says looking at his phone "all invite our own that way it makes it easier" we all nod in agreement other than Lewis and Nae who are obviously not counting themselves as a single. Sweet.

"Why are you two getting out your phone's?" Jack asks in a mock surprise voice. "Um because of what you just said...?" I reply still looking for my phone in my bag.
"I said singles" there's a thud "ouchhh dude get off meeeeeeee" Jack squeals like a girl laughing hysterically while Joe and him play fight in the sand although I'm not sure how much play there is on Joe's part.
"Oo you got my boys fighting over you already Han" Lewis smirks. Obviously not asleep then.

Right now I have to decide who to invite, a guy, could be awkward because most guys I know wouldn't get on with these guys or a girl which would probably mean Maya or Charlie and I couldn't pick between the two, also Charlie might get a bit friendly with Seth because I know she's had a huge crush on him since forever...so I should be a good friend and set them up but I don't want to it would get awkward if all my friends dated Joe's friends....why? Because we're neighbours that's why !!!!

"I don't know who to invite I don't really care" Seth drawls lazily.

Bingo.

"Umm I know who you could invite..." I say shyly because I've never really spoken to him before only in passing "well basically... you know my friend Charlie?" He gives a small nod and a flicker of a smile I see this as an encouragement so I carry on "well she a huge crush on and would probably die if you invited her."
Joe starts snickering, then Jack, Nate and Lewis join in.

"What did I say something funny?"

"Seth has a huge crush on Charlie" Joe gasps out between laughs "has done forever" Nate finishes.

Seth just laughs good naturedly.
