Purple?

When I get down stairs after making myself slightly more...dressed, by chucking my slightly baggy grey t-shirt on with the NASA logo in the corner, with a blue line round the neck line and sleeves tucked into a pair of high waisted skinny jeans, my dirty blonde hair is just down and kinda scrunched to make it look messy in a nice way like I just stepped of a surf board and some winged eyeliner and mascra just to top it off basically my daily look!

It turns out mum asked Kathrine to stay for a cup of coffee so my Mum,Katherine,Betsy and Joe are sitting in my living room making polite chitchat.

As I walk in they all turn to look at me.
Wow that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable thanks guys
"Hey" I smile looking around.
Seriously that's basically all I've said to these people they must think I'm stupid.

"Oh your here I was just saying how much a cup of coffee would be nice" Mum grins

"Oh yeah sure I'll make you your coffee madam...like a slave" I grin back its a thing me and my mum do and have done ever since I was old enough to be asked to do things like make coffee.
Jeez this new family must think we are crazy.

"Joe you go and help out making coffee you know my order so you can tell Hannah" Kathrine smiles

Joe just nods, really does this guy not say anything maybe his voice is all squeaky, I snort slightly at the thought as we walk down the hall to my kitchen.
Wow so attractive Han.
"so do you not speak or something" I smile slightly but as I say it panic what if he's mute or something?!

"Oh yeah I talk" the voice that comes out of Joe is not at all squeaky "but having an artist as a mother I know when to just sit back and appreciate the work"

he smirks sounding pleased with himself, well what do I say to that I guess hes talking about me not the house.

"Oh so your mothers an artist that's cool does she paint?" wow smooth Han smooth ask him about his mothers work!

"Yeah that, drawing and wire work a bit of everything really" he's half laughing now.
Jerk

"so um how does your mum take her coffee?"

I really need to stop talking about his mum
"milk no sugar" he says still smirking.
his smirk is getting less cute now, "cool, do you want anything?" I say making the coffees "yeah are youon the menu?" He full on laughs now so I flick some coffee granules at him.
Ok maybe I shouldn't have done that I've known him about 5 minutes but he's still laughing so it's ok.
I go to cupboard and grab a handful of skittles from my emergency supply lame I know.

"hey doche you want one?" I ask.
I'm way to comfortable with with guy!!doche???
"Wait are they skittles?" He looks way over excited "yeah why are you acting like a five year old over them?" Its my turn to laugh, he puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out a bag of skittles "wanna taste the rainbow together?" He wriggles his eyebrows, so I throw a sweet at him he's such a jerk.
"So what's your favourite flavour?" He asks putting a red one in his mouth "blue all the way" I grin because I know most people hate blue ones
"Ew weirdo!" he looks shocked
"mines red wanna make purple?" He wriggles his eyebrows again luckly I don't have to waste anymore sweets on him because the kettle boils.

We walk back into the living room, i'm carrying three coffees (like cinderella when she carries things on her head and feet but not literally...) and Joes carrying one his own lazy much?!

"You kids sounded like you were having fun" mum smiles at us taking her coffee from me

"it sounded like you've known each other for years I'm so glad you get on" kathrine agrees as she takes hers
"oh but we do" what? Joe says behind me, I whip round to look at him.
Mum and Katherine just look confused "we met trough Mattie  last year" how does he know Mattie?? He slings an muscular arm round my shoulder.

Side note
Mattie is my best friend and we have been since we were 5 more about her later.

He looks perfectly calm but he's lying like anything what is he doing??!

"What a crazy night that was right Han?" Help me
"oh yeah I remember you kissed that guy Henry right?? I reply equally calmly wow that was quick thinking  "Katherine and Joe both choke on there coffee slightly
"Joe your gay?!?!"
Katherine looks shocked but also a little pleased.
she's obviously thinking of the shopping trips they could go on. Ha.

"Uh no mum it was a....erm dare?" Joe looks a little flustered again ha. I made the bad boy blush!

"Oh..." kathrine looks confused "Anyway we must go,Joe has a little job interview" she grins at Joe who is far from grinning

"How nice where are you looking to work Joe?" My mum asks

"at Cherrys shack "

Wait what?!?! I almost choke on my coffee and mum gives me a look so I disuse it as a normal cough.
"I used to go there all the time when I came to visit my friends here in summer break" Joe replays in enthusiastically ignoring me almost dying right next to him.

No prince charming for me then. Ew no did I just say that?!?!?!?!?!

"OH!!" My mum exclaims "Hannah works there!"
the shack is a beach hut cafe and shop It sells surf stuff, wetsuits, jewellery,sun cream and crazy good milkshakes!!
I've worked there every summer for 2 years since I was just 14 now this duckbrain is going to be working there?!
"Oh" Joes frown turns into a smile and he looks at me "looks like we'll be getting to know each other then hey Han" he wishes...maybe not he could get any girl from my school he wouldn't choose me!
"Yah i guess" I say without enthusiasm which gets me a glared from mum.

"We should be going now" Kat she told us to call her Kat she is so friendly!! Says "it's Betsy's nap time she'll start getting grouchy if she doesn't sleep" she laughs, looking at Betsy who is pouting at us all,
"oh that sounds like Hannah" mum laughs

great thanks mum.

"I bet I could find a way to make you happy when your not sleeping" Joe whispers so only I can hear, I give him a look but can't say anything in case mum and Kat hear
