Matt's POV
"Elli, how are they gonna get in? What's even blocking the door? Snow?" I asked. She shrugged and sat down. "Looks like there's not gonna be a show tonight." She mumbled. What? No Magcon? We've never missed a show! Our fans are going to be outraged! That's when all of my worries hit me. Hard. I threw myself at the door. Again, and again, and again. The whole time I was doing this, Elli was yelling at me to stop. I slid down the door and landed on my knees. I had a meltdown in from if Elli. I felt like an idiot, but the tears wouldn't stop flowing and I couldn't control my hands when they reached for my bag. I flung it across the room and kept grabbing things. What had gotten into me?
Elli's POV
I was terrified. I had to keep dodging the flying items Matt was throwing around. I tried to calm him down, but for some reason he was freaking out. Was it something I said? I didn't say anything that could've offended him. So why was he acting like this. "Matt!" I shouted. He wasn't listening so I pried the shoe out of his hands and set it down. I sat next to him and put my finger to my lips. "Shhhhhh," I said while rubbing his back. He sobbed into my shoulder. Wow these past few days were not good for him. He continued to cry and I just sat there trying to soothe him. God I wish Shawn was here. He'd know what to do.
Shawn's POV
I was talking to the boys about a way to move the tree when we heard a big thump coming from inside the building. Then another one, and another one. "What was that?!" Can asked, leaning over the tree, pressing his ear to the door. He immediately pulled away and brushed his fingers through his hair. "It's Matt." He sighed. "Shoot." I mumbled. I climbed on top of the tree and reached out to the door, knocking. "Elli, Matt! Are you guys alright?" No response. I was starting to get frustrated. "Elli!" I screamed her name this time. "Matt!" I did the same for him. I was starting to worry. Now Cam and Taylor were pulling me off of the tree. "I got this." Taylor said, banging on the door. "Boys!" Bart yelled, trying to get us all to hear over the cars driving by and our arguments. "Everyone grab hold of a part if the tree and we'll all pull together." So we did. We all hauled the tree off of the door. We started to cheer when we heard someone yell. "Ahh!" I heard Nash curse. We all turned to him to see that the tree had somehow managed to fall on his leg. We all ran to him and hauled the tree back up to it's position in front of the door. Great. Cam pulled Nash up and walked him back to the car. The rest of us moved the tree back into the ground and climbed around to the doors. I shoved the doors open to see a bunch of stuff lying all over the floor and Matt sitting in the middle of it all. Elli was nowhere to be seen. "What did you do with Elli?" I asked furiously. He just sat there not talking. "What did you freaking do with Elli?!" I yelled, getting angry with Matt. I walked past him and searched. "Elli! Elli!" I screamed. I opened a door and saw Elli in the closet asleep. She must have been hiding from Matt. I don't know why. I scooped her up and carried her into the main room where Carter and Bart were trying to talk to Matt. I carried her out to the car and set her in the back seat next to Nash. "Please watch her, and don't wake her up." And with that, I walked back into the building.
Matt's POV
I had a meltdown. I just couldn't stand the idea of the show getting cancelled. Because that would be letting down my fans, my friends, and my family. And Elli. I really wanted her to like me, and if she thought the show being cancelled was my fault, because technically it was, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I heard the door open and Shawn rushed in. "What did you do with Elli?" He asked. As if I'd ever touch her. "What did you freaking do with Elli?" He yelled again. I sat there and he rushed past me. After that, Carter knelt down next to me along with Bart. They were both trying to talk some sense into me, but I didn't say anything or do anything. I saw Shawn carry Elli out to the car and come back in. He sat down next to me and didn't say anything. Bart and Carter finally stood up and walked out. "Hey, we'll be back tomorrow in time for the show, and we'll bring your clothes, unless you show up sooner." Taylor scratched the back of his neck and left, along with the rest of the boys. Shawn didn't get up, he just sat next to me silently. "She great, isn't she?" I asked him. "Yeah." He nodded. We both sat there until I checked my watch, and it said 2:30 am. "Dude, it 2 in the morning." I said, running my fingers through my hair. "No, it's 2:32." He said, not even looking at any sort of watch. "How?" I stuttered "I was looking at your watch." He laughed. I laughed with him and stood up. He wouldn't move, so in nudged him. "Hey we should probably get going." "They said they'd meet us here." He said. "Fine. Well I've gotta go," I said, starting to walk away. "No wait! Please stay. I need someone to be here with me. Today and last night have been some of the hardest times in my life." I felt bad for him. "Okay."
