i'm the one who's always behind the camera
not wanting to be seen, to be recognized
i'm not shy nor am i afraid
but i feel safer when the emphasis is on someone else
i collect these miniature square pieces
as memories, as treasures not to be forgotten
i may not see myself in those
but i remember i was the one who took the shot
i smile as i press the shutter
though i know that happiness of mine won't be seen
i feel the joy anyway
of having another photograph to keep
