**I wrote this story long time ago when I was younger. So there are a lot of flaws and mistakes. I am editing and correcting those mistakes slowly. So, please don't judge my this story. I have improved and am improving day by day. You may check my newest story 'Bittersweet Encounter'.

***As it was clearly written this a Detective Conan fanfiction. So, I don't own most of the characters used here. They belong to Ghosho Ayoma. Few characters are my own.

I must say DC is my all time favourite anime. I am a HUGE Ran-Shin shipper. So, go ahead and enjoy the story.

10 years later,

Conan could not get back to his own body.

He is 18 years old now and a high school student. Ran is 28 now.

Conan's POV,

''WHAT!'' I was shocked. I felt a pain in my heart. ''Is it true?''  I asked which came out almost like a whisper.

''Yes it is. Do you have any problem with it, you brat?''  uncle Kogoro narrowed his eyes.

''No,'' I murmured. I still couldn't believe what I just heard, more like I didn't want to believe it.

Just then Ran entered the room. She just got back from school. She was now a K.G school teacher.

''Raaan congratulations!''   Sonoko hugged Ran while shouting in a high pitched tone.

Ran hugged her back confusingly, then asked, ''Yeah okay, but for what?"

"You are going to be a bride. You know who the lucky man is! guess guess!! ......okay I'm telling you.... YANO KYURO,''    Sonoko announced. Again I felt that pain in my heart.

''Oh okay, that's nice!'' Ran said with a little smile.

"Oh, are not you happy?" Sonoko frowned.

''No I am happy. Of course I am,'' Ran told.

I was dying inside.

Why Ran? why? you can't marry someone else. Don't you know how much i love you?

I felt like shouting those words to her.

I couldn't think anymore. I couldn't stay in that room anymore. I opened the door and came outside.

I was walking on the road aimlessly. Many pictures were flashing through my mind. 

Was it the end? After loving Ran for so long, I had to let her go! She was marrying off to someone else. I was stuck here in this damn Conan's body. I felt helpless like never before.

''Conan! Careful!" I heard someone shouting behind me and that drew me back to reality. Without my realization I was walking in the middle of the road. A truck was running to me with full speed. Before I could do something, someone pushed me to the roadside.

''What do you think you were doing?" That was Ayumi. She panicked,  "you were going to crash to the truck! What the hell were you thinking?"

"Nothing," I said.

''Are you okay?'' she asked getting concerned.

''Yes, leave me alone please,'' I was trying to leave. I really wasn't in a mood to talk to anyone.

''No, you are not okay. Come with me to my home. I will make some coffee for you,'' Ayumi told me with huge grin.

I wasn't felt like arguing with her. So, without saying a word I followed her.
