Lullaby of the Clouds
The skies are grey
and the clouds fill the sky.
The trees look dark
and the animals hide inside the bark.
Smells rise from the ground,
smells of flowers and trees and dirt.
Even though everything looks dull,
I can still see of beauty nature is full.
Inside I hide under my blanket,
away from the cold and wind,
listening to the music made
by the putter and patter on the roof.
And so I am lulled to sleep,
by a melody so sweet,
a lullaby sang by the clouds.
