Chapter 9: The Best

ZARA IS THE GIRL ABOVE, EXCEPT WITH LONGER HAIR.

Zara's P.O.V

"Can I tell you something?" I say, standing up. Kendall stands on the bed with tired eyes with nothing on but one of my T - Shirts, and her boy shorts. Her thigh gap complimenting her slender body. 

She nods and slams herself crossed legged on the bed. She leans into me and stares at my whole face. 

"I love you." I say, and her whole face lights up. She wraps her entire body around me, and chuckles into my ear like a little girl. 

"I love you too." She whispers back, and she's still not getting off. 

"You gonna let me go, woman?" I scoff. 

"Nope." She says. I walk with her in my arms downstairs and into the kitchen. 

"UNHAND MY BEST FRIEND." Hailey points a finger at me, and I almost bite it. 

Kendall jumps from my arms and steps beside Hailey. 

"Excuse me gentlemen." I push past them jokingly and head into the kitchen. 

I reach for Gigi's Connolly, but she slaps my hands. 

"Don't be selfish. We eat together." She says. Gigi was always the main chef of the house and didn't want anyone messing around in the kitchen. 

I throw my hands up in apologies and grab some grapes instead. 

Cara slips besides me and gives me the "We need to talk" face. I follow outside to the porch, while Kendall, Hailey, and Ashley play with Nerf Guns outside. Ruby sits down on the chair with her sunglasses, reading a newspaper. 

"So... Guess whose birthday is coming up." Kendall says wiggling her eyebrows. 

It's October 25th and Kendall's birthday is November 3rd, which means only 9 more days until her birthday. 

"Kendall's. Yeah, yeah. I know." I say. 

"We need to plan a part bash for her." Cara continues. 

"Which is up to you." Ruby joins in. "Since you know her best, we'll only help you." She smirks. 

I lean against the wooded fence around the porch and watch the girls shoot each other with fake bullets. 

"I got it. I'll have to do major researching for that girl because Kendall could be dramatic when it comes to the things she wants." I chuckle. 

"Damn right."Cara rolls her eyes. 

"When are you gonna find your soul mater, loner?" I softly punch Cara's shoulder. 

"WHEN SOMEONE WORTH MY TIME WALKS THESE PATHS." Cara says dramatically. I laugh, but Cara stands up really fast along with Ruby. 

"ZARA!!!" Kendall screams. Without hesitation, I run with my super speed into the woods and sniff the air for her scent. 

I throw myself at the figure chasing the girls, and tackle the guy onto the floor. Cara grabs Kendall to make sure she's safe, and Ruby has the other two behind her. 

"Who the fuck are you?" I ask the guy pushing me off and standing up. 

"Scott. Zara, be careful." Ruby snaps. I stay put, and I look up at him. 

"I'm Scott Disick. Kourtney's Ex. You're new, huh?" He smirks evilly. 

"He's the obsessive asshole who Kourtney broke up with because he's dangerous. He's friends with Alex's dad. He tries to get back into the Jenner's lives. He was ordered strictly not to bother the girls." Cara growls speeding next to me.
