A Little Different

Kurt laid down on his stomach, on bed that he just put new sheets on, with his ankles crossed daintily in the air. He was flipping through the latest issue of Vogue making comments to himself about outfits he should defiantly try, even if they were made for women.

Downstairs he heard the door slam shut causing him to jump. There was muffled yelling of Finn calling for Kurt. Kurt sighed to himself and rolled his eyes. He was really looking forward for some alone time. He couldn't get much of that lately, and boy did it bug him.

There was loud clanky footsteps of Finn ruining upstairs. "Kurt!" He yelled flinging Kurt's bedroom door open.

"Careful Finn that's mahogany!" Kurt said more concerned about the door, than Finns big goofy smile plastered to his face.

"You'll never guess what happened!" Finn said bouncing on the heel of his foot.

Kurt stayed on the bed unamused. "What?" He questioned wanting Finn to go back to playing Xbox at Pucks.

"Ok, you know Pucks uncle?" Finn started out.

"Which one, drug dealer or manger?" Kurt questioned Finn.

"Manger. Anyway he scored 3 tickets to see the Blaine Anderson in his match in Ohio tomorrow!" Finn said practically jump in up and down with excitement.

"So I'm being dragged to a fight?" Kurt said raising a perfectly manicured eyebrow.

"Hey I was lucky to get that third for you. Come on Kurt. It's Blaine Anderson! He's the best fighter in the MMA." Finn said with a whiny tone.

"Can't I skip it." Kurt said with a reluctant expression. His teeth showing but no smile, and eyebrows up showing his big blue eyes that always seem to change colors.

"No. I worked hard to get you that ticket. I plan to follow Burt's rules. I will not have another lamp innocent. Besides you owe me for that project runway marathon." Finn fought back.

"Burt's rule sucks. And in my defense you got Linda's dramatic snap down." Kurt said giggling at the memory. He and Finn were on the couch, and Finn had a facial expression that screamed 'bitch please'. He snapped dramatically in the air which caused Kurt to laugh so hard he cried.

Finn snapped again like Linda from the show, which made Kurt giggle. "Honey you know I am." Finn said in his 'gay mans voice' which caused Kurt to bury his face in the bed exploding with laughter.

"Besides it may get your mind off things in school. I can't keep doing the Project runway, Moulin Rouge, And Sound of Music on repeat." Finn said giving a side smile.

Kurt pressed his lips together. School has been tough. So tough that Burt needed to add the rule that Kurt can't be left alone.

"I don't know Finn." Kurt said with the sound of deciding in his voice.

"Please! Please! Please! You owe me! I'll even get you cheesecake after." Finn bargained.

That got Kurt. Finn did know how to make a deal with him. Though it concerned him that he now knew so much.
"Alright fine. It's scary how much time we've been spending together." Kurt said agreeing.

"Yes!" Finn shout fist pumping the air. Instead of the air he banged the top of Kurt's doorway, and hurt his knuckles. He brought his hand down cradling it between his chest and other hand. His expression said it all.

Kurt bit his lips hating the sight of the blood or any injury. "You ok?" Kurt asked.

"Yeah. I'm great. I'll be downstairs. Make sure you get dinner." Finn said then leaving to walk downstairs silently cursing to himself.

Kurt shook his head to himself and continued him his issue of Vogue. He figured he'd order Finn a pizza. He didn't feel like cooking, and properly wouldn't eat much of it. Burt and Carole would be out late on there Friday date nights, so they couldn't scold him for how little he's been eating. Burt was already criticizing how he was getting smaller (if that was even possible?)

The truth is nothing seemed to taste good anymore. Karofsky seemed to ruin everything. The bullying got worst. Because of it Kurt stopped eating so much, talking too, he even stopped attending glee, and that was his favorite part of the day.

Nowadays the only thing that could really put a smile on his face was Finn. He hates to admit but he was his step-brother. He knows Finn doesn't like what he does. There two completely different people. Kurt does appreciate the effort Finn puts to try and deal with the things Kurt likes. Especially when it comes to cheering Kurt up after a rough day of people hating on him. He tried all he could to stop it in school. Sadly Finn isn't superman and can't save Kurt from every shove and slushy that comes his way. Even the insults that he gets bombarded with.

Maybe,

Just maybe.

Finn could cheer Kurt up with something that could be a little different.
