A Minecraft Wolf's Story

Chapter 9: The Quest Begins

In the middle of the night I saw a light flash through the sky. I ran onto one of the towers and saw the three players bounding around happily around Crystal's roof. I watched as Star and Blitz greeted their masters, but I had tor refrain from going near them. Star thought I was a freak and Blitz would try to frame me, So I just howled loudly from the castle gaining my masters attention.

He got some items from Blaze and Crystal then ran towards the castle. I jumped up on him when he returned and wagged my tail happily.

"Miss me? Well Guess what we're going to find the end soon, right after I turn these into ender eyes." Ice said and ran to his blacksmith room.

"Who do you think he will take to go find the portal?" Rein asked excited. "What do you mean find it? Don't they know where it is?"

Mudslide sighed, "No it was found by chance and he happen to have ender eyes with him. When Ice got out Ethan stole the eyes and covered our owners tracks."

"Of course...." Ender mumbled. Rein laughed, "It won't be hard, they know what cave the stronghold is in."

Ice ran out of the shop and jumped around in circles, "We're meeting with the others, I'm taking Ender and Mudslide with me. So you two get ready for the journey."

I looked at the armored horse and he looked at me with determination, "Dont let me down pup, we're going to avenge Exo together."

I nodded back, "Dont worry we got this, The Ender dragon is no match for the 7 of us." Mudslide sighed, "I cant go into the Ender, I'd just be a liability."

"Then I guess I'll have to fight for the both of us." I promised. He smirked, "You're not half bad."

I saw my master was fully stocked up in diamond armor, he was equipped with a diamond sword and he mounted Mudslide. "Lets go Ender." I barked and ran after my master and new friend.

As we crossed the cobblestone bridge I saw Crystal and Blaze all geared up on their horse. "We're ready!" Ice yelled galloping  towards them. "Took you long enough, let's go!" Crystal called back and took off with Blaze.

Star and Blitz took after them along with me and Ice. I ran beside Mud-Slide and looked ahead to where we were heading towards... I nearly stopped and tan the other way, of course the cave was in the taiga it just had to be. "You ok Ender? you look sick." Mud-slide commented.

"No I'm fine." I lied. I couldn't turn back now, Ice and Mud-slide were depending on me. I sighed as I took my first step back onto the snow covered ground. Star and Blitz were doing just fine, I had too show Ice I could manage.

 "The cave up ahead!" Crystal told us from her white horse. We ran ahead until we came across three caves carved into the mountain. "Ice you take lead, maybe you'll remember where you found it."  Ice nodded and hopped off of Mudslide, the horse looked at me. "Good luck, remember your promise." I padded into the dark caves and followed Ice, he put torches down as we walked through the cave. 

I looked down as the pendant on my collar started to glow, the others looked at me confused. Yes just was I needed, to be different again. I tried to cover my pendant but it was no use, the light was to strong.

"Well atleast his collar will give use light, we saved a lot of torches." Crystal said and pat my head. We came to a choice between two caves, Ice wanted to to left but Blaze said we should go right.

"I think I remember this part.." Ice said. Blaze shook his head, "The right part has torches, you've already gone this way, I think we should go right."

We went into the right cave and my collar started to fade. Crystal looked back at me, "Hey guys lets try the other way."

Blaze rolled his eyes and we turned around going for the way my master suggested. Once again my collar started glowing when we went down the left side. "I think that Ender is on to something.." Crystal told everyone.

Ice looked down at me, "Only seems right that an Ender wolf would lead us to the End, cmon Ender show us to the portal." I barked with determination and ran down the tunnel. My collar started to glow bright and I could just sense the portal now. I took a sharp turned into another cave then stopped, it was a dead end.

"Magic mutt led us to a dead end." Blaze sighed. No it couldn't be a dead end, I could feel it the portal was near. I barked and scratched at the wall, "No come back I know it's here!" 

"Let's just mine around the wall, Strongholds are huge maybe we will stumble into it." Ice said as he pulled out his iron pick axe. Crystal shrugged and pulled out her pick axe too. "Well you two can waste your time, me and Blitz are going the way we thought." 

Crystal rolled her eyes then kept digging beside Ice. They dug about three blocks in then backed up. "Let's got after Blaze, I don't see anything."

Ice sighed, "Fine." I shook my head and continued to claw at the stone, I knew it was there but the players couldn't tell. "Cmon Ender it was worth a shot." Ice called.

I ignored my master and kept digging the stone until it broke, light seeped through the hole and I could see chiseled stone.

Crystals eyes widened,"He was right! Star go get Blitz and Blaze." Ice gave me a treat for discovering the stone structure. "I knew you'd be able to find it, let's go." He said as he made a hole 1x2 so he could get through. Star came back with Blaze and Blitz following, "Blitz why can't you find stuff I need like Ender?"

I wagged my tail happily, I had never heard someone use me as a good example. The other trailed into the stronghold after me, but finding the portal will be easy compared to fighting the Ender dragon.
