"We both want to break off this fucking marriage thing right?" he said, slightly leaning his face.

I nodded "Yeah, have any plans?"

He rubbed his chin using his thumb, slightly smirking "I do have one for you though" he shrugged

I raised my brow.

"What is it? Tell me"

"I'm not sure if it's going to work but there's no wrong with trying no?" he smirked

"Yeah, yeah. So?" i frowned.

"You could talk with Alex's mom" he clicked his fingers.

"Ugh, and why would it change anything?" i rolled my eyes.

He grinned widely. Why would he grin?

"Have you ever met his mom?"

I frowned. Now that i think of it, i've never even once met nor seen Alex's mom. "No.."

"That explains why you don't get it" he slightly shook his head "His mom is the only person who could tame Alex's dad"

"Really? How come?"

"You'll see" he smirked "Just try meeting Alex's mom, Allison" he shrugged

"But Xavier, i've never even once met his mom, and you're telling me to go meet her just to ask her for help?" i snickered "She would look down on me"

"True. Well, the rest is up to you. I'm just telling you the big plan. The introduction or how you wanted to solve it out is totally up to you, just wih Allison's help, i am 100% sure your wish will be granted" his smiled satisfied.

I slightly chuckled seeing how confident he was. Were all hot guys so confident of theirselves?

"Yeah sure. And how can i contact her?" i slightly scoffed "I don't think Alex ever mentioned his mom"

He stared at me in disbelief. "You don't know?"

I leaned closer, intertwining my fingers and rested my arms on my thighs "What do i not know?" i whispered

Xavier's smirk spreaded wider. This guy is way more cunning than Alex.

"Alex doesn't really tell this to anyone but i suppose you have the right to know since you're his girlfriend" he emphasized "His mom is- hospitalized ever since he was 2"

My eyes slightly widened in surprise. "Who- What?"

"Yeah" he shrugged "She's got cancer right after she gave birth to Alex"

"Wait a minute" i placed my hand in front of his face "S-She's in a terrible condition already, and you're telling me to bring this marriage thing to her? What if she was surprised or disappointed and her health became even worse? I don't want to burden Alex nor his mom" i peered my eyes, raising my hands in the air

"She won't. Trust me, i've known her since i was a kid, she's really wonderful. The best kind of mom you'd ever want. And you don't have any idea about how much she treasures Alex as her one and only son. Moreover, she highly honours the thoughts of true love existing for each other" he held my hand and tightly gripped it "Trust me Alice, this is the only way to break off the marriage"

"Maybe. But i have to ask Alex first, if he agreed then we'll do it" i shrugged, pressing my lips to thin line.

He slightly frowned before finally gave in. "Fine, ask him. Make sure he agrees"

I grinned as i stood up, packing my phone and earphone into my bag. I slung my back on my right shoulder and slightly crouched before i left. "See you later, Xavier!"
