Mysterious door

I don't understand where I am. First there's the colorful clearing, and now there's a black cat purring on my shoulder showing no signs of getting off. He seems to like me a lot and reminds me of the cat I had when I was little, I think I'll name him Nostalgia. Yeah, I think he likes that name.

Nostalgia and I continue walking through the clearing with the sun slowly setting behind us. I'm a bit worried, what am I doing here again? What time were my parents getting home? What will they do when they don't see me in my bedroom? I stopped walking while I thought, my dress slightly moving in the wind and Nostalgia playing with the strings of my hat.

I take out my looking glass once more and examine it. Why on earth was this out in the woods? Perhaps someone dropped it, maybe. Nostalgia saw the looking glass and hissed. It confused me greatly, so I decided to just put it back in my pocket to relax him. It seemed as if he was trying to warn me or something. Man, I really was going insane.

That's when I heard something "clink" beneath my shoe. I tilted my head and bent down to pick whatever I was up. It was a lock and a key, what they where doing in a random clearing I'd never know. The key was a bright cobalt color, while the lock was an army green. I put them in my pocket and pet Nostalgia, it's been a long day for both of us.

I suddenly saw a door at that moment, had that been there before? I don't remember it, but who knows at this point. The door was not attached to anything, it was just a wooden door in the middle of a clearing. Being the curious girl I was, went up to try and open it, it didn't budge. I took the lock and key I found out of my pocket. I had seen this kind of stuff in movies, It should work here, right? I put the lock on the door and used the key to unlock it. The door knob turned this time.

I looked at nostalgia who seemed reluctant to go through. I didn't want to force him in there, I'm not that type of girl. I took him off my shoulder and pet him then kissed the top of his head before placing him down beside the door. He rubbed against my leg in a makeshift sort of goodbye. I almost let out a tear, but waved to him before he ran off. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

Let's just say... I should've listened to my friend
