Memorial Day

Victor held the door for me as I hopped out of his BMW in front of his place. We had a long weekend off school and George and Jasmine were out of town so we had all decided to congregate at Victor's today. North, Luke, Silas and Gabe climbed out of North's Jeep parked behind us and Kota and Nathan were just pulling up in Kota's sedan. Victor grabbed my hand and everyone made their way inside, chatting and laughing. We were headed up the stairs when Victor suddenly froze. I glanced at him, then followed his gaze to a small, ornate side table. Propped up on it was a letter addressed to Victor. He moved quickly, snatching up the letter and tearing it open. Silas moved next to me.

"What's going on Silas?" I asked quietly as Kota moved next to Victor.

"I don't know Aggele." He answered, his voice just as quiet as mine. Victor had gone white as a sheet and I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to know what was going on with him. I moved silently to stand by Kota just as Victor thrust the letter at him and dashed up the stairs.

"I need to go pack," His words were hurried and I looked over Kota's shoulder, reading along with him.

Back on U.S. soil. Something happened.

I need to see you. I'm in DC. Text me when

get to the airport and I will let you know where

I was completely confused but Kota looked like things were finally making sense. If I was going to get answers I guessed I would need to ask Victor. I headed upstairs, finding Victor in his closet, packing. At some point Gabe had joined him and was in his bathroom, packing toiletries.

"Victor, what's going on?" Victor's head whipped around, his fire eyes landing on me.

"Geez Princess, I'm sorry," he moved over to me, wrapping me in a hug.

"sometimes I forget you don't know everything yet. Asher is my brother. I can explain on the plane. You'll come right?" His eyes plead with me and I smiled and nodded.

" Gabriel, could you pack for me? I'm going with Victor."

" Oy, sure fucking thing Trouble. Just give me a damn minute." Gabriel replied, poking his head out of the bathroom. The others had all joined us by this time.

"Do you want one of us to go with you, victor?" Kota asked with concern. Victor just shook his head though.

"No, It's okay. Sang and I can go alone." He winced when Gabriel smacked the back of his head on his way to the closet.

"Oy, don't be a moron, You aren't going alone. I'm already half packed." Gabriel pulled a bright, neon orange and a hot pink suitcase down from the top of the closet and I idly wondered when someone had bought me a suitcase and what he thought he was going to pack in it since I didn't have clothes here. I should have known better. After pulling aside some things I noticed a rod of clothes that had been hidden behind the first. My eyes went wide as I saw the row of clothes, obviously some for everyone including me. Not a lot, but enough for a couple days in DC for sure. Victor smiled at Gabriel.

"Thanks Gabe"He said softly.

An hour and a half later we were strapped into the Morgans private plane and the others were all heading to Kota's after he cleared it with Erica. I was still confused. Victor said this Asher was his brother but there was no evidence of any other child but Victor in the Morgan house. It didn't take long for Victor to explain.
