I felt a pain in my head. I guess that made sense since I was struck on the head. It was pitch black. I wasn't fully awake yet.
I groaned a little in pain, touched my head, and opened my eyes. When I did, I was surprised to find that my bed was surrounded. There men in uniforms, two girls around my age, and an older looking man. I was still a bit drowsy, but a addressed them anyway.
"Can I help you people in any way?", I asked as I sat up in the bed holding my head. The men in uniforms closed in on me, after receiving some kind of signal from the older looking man. I looked around confused. The man just smirked.
"Actually, you can. Be careful with her, now, gentlemen. She's a special gem." I looked around the room for help. The two girls were being escorted behind me.
After being led down a long, humongous hallway, the men dropped me to the floor in a room that looked like some kind of throne room. Then, they left, leaving me with the two girls. They seemed very familiar. One had glowing yellow eyes. The other had red sparkling eyes.
"Kristalyn!" In the very next instant, I was pulled into a huge group hug. "It's been too long!"
After a moment of silence, they let go, seeming to be offended about something. "Don't tell me you forgot your childhood friends!", said the girl with yellow eyes. Then, it hit me.
No way...Could it be...? ...!
"Danica?! Hestia?!", I exclaimed. This time, I pulled them into a huge hug, which they gladly took and returned. "I thought you guys were dead!" We all separated.
"Well...Actually, after that black magic, we were kidnapped", Hestia said, with her red eyes sparkling.
"Why?" I was kind of confused. I knew people wanted people like us for power, but, if that were the case here, they would both be dead.
After a person, born with a gem, is separated from their gem, and along with it their power, the person will die slowly. The longest they will live is a few hours, if they're lucky.
"The same reason you're here. The king will explain that to you later", Danica said, her yellow eyes glowing ever so slightly. I was still curious, but I shrugged it off and decided to wait.
"In the meantime, why don't we show you around the castle!", Hestia said excitedly. I looked around the room.
"Castle?" They both nodded.
"You're in the castle of Lily's Valley. You'll be here for awhile, so let us show you around", Danica said. I nodded in agreement and followed the two around the castle as they gave me a very thorough tour. It was so detailed that I could probably draw a map of the whole place.
However, I was admiring the flowers in the garden when, I noticed that the two were no where to be seen. I looked around the garden, but I didn't find them anywhere.
Oh well...maybe they just didn't notice that I had stopped and kept going.
I decided to just wait in the garden. I walked to the fountain in the center of the garden, sat at it's edge, and watched the water flow through my reflection.
As I stared down at the water, I noticed something sparkling at it's surface. Upon close examination, I realized that the sparkling was on me and was just being reflected in the water. I looked down to see that my necklace was glowing.
I still have it!...that's great!...and it's glowing just like before in the clearing...?
I was glad to have the necklace still in my possession, but I was confused as to why it was glowing. Then, I heard footsteps approaching me from behind. I lifted my head. The footsteps stopped. I turned around.
