*Caroline's POV*

After a long day at work, I finally got my things to go home to my apartment. I had to take the late train today since my shift lasted longer than expected. I walked out of the building to the train station. It was a dark night illuminated by many dancing stars. It was a bit chilly, so I pulled out my jacket and tugged it around me. As I sat in the train, I was the only person in my compartment so I got my book and began reading it and became entranced.

"Excuse me, Miss?" I heard someone say. I looked up to see a man around the same as me, 21, with long brown hair and big blue eyes. His eyes were the kind that if you stared too long you would get lost in them. They were like a deep never ending ocean and glowed with a depth of kindness. I guess I did get lost in them because he repeated, "Excuse me, Miss? Is anyone sitting here?"

I shook my head, rather embarrassed and probably red in the face and said, "Oh, no, you can sit there."

The man sat down next to me and I could not stop staring. He was probably creeped out. (*lol my life*) I looked around and saw the train was still empty. I wonder why he wanted to sit right next to me?

*Nash's POV*

I walked onto the train and immediately laid my eyes on the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She had long blonde hair and red rosy cheeks from the cold. I saw that the bus was empty, but decided to jump at the chance. I would sit by her and introduce myself.

"Excuse me, Miss?" I said, trying not to interrupt her from her book. She looked up at me and stared. Oh god, she probably thinks I'm some creep who's going to rape her or something. I should've just sat in another seat. She continued to stare, so I repeated, "Excuse me, Miss? Is anyone sitting here?"

To my surprise she responded with, "Oh, no, you can sit there."

I sat down and out of the corner of my eye I could tell she was staring at me. I need to say something or this will be an awkward ride.

"Where are you headed?" I asked her.

"Home. Finally. Rosewood," she said.

"Me too. Except I'm going to Rivervalley. Not too far."

"We've both got a long ride," she said. Her eyes were beautiful blue orbs.

"I'm Nash, by the way," I said sticking my hand out to shaker hers, "very nice to meet you."

She laughed, "Caroline, and you as well." She spoke with a big smile on her face, "so why did you sit right next to me, when the rest of the bus is completely empty?"

"Would you like me to move?" I asked her.

"No, no, no. I'm just wondering."

"Well, to be honest, you caught my eye, and I knew I had to jump at the chance. Just talking to you for a few minutes, I can tell that you're different. Instead of having your head in your phone, you were reading a book. And instead of acting weird about me sitting here, you just straight out ask me why I did it. And the answer is because I think you're beautiful."
