Take Me Away

Chapter 8

*Caroline's POV*

We woke up and went back to the house the next morning to keep looking. We stopped for breakfast so we could last almost the entire day. As soon as we got there, we picked up right where we left off. Nash started looking in the dining room, and I looked in the first floor bathroom.

After a few hours of nothing, I saw a piece of paper. It was so small but could mean something huge. I unfolded it and it revealed the letter "M".

"Nash!" I yelled into the other room. "I found something!"

He came running in. I showed him the piece of paper.

"This has to mean something. We need to keep looking for other letters. My mom knew I would look and purposely put these out."

After another couple hours, I found another word. It said "door". Nash thought immediately of the door to his mothers room. There was nothing taped onto it anywhere, so Nash took the door off its hinges.

"Will you go grab me the screwdriver? I think its in the drawer in the kitchen," Nash asked me.

"Sure," I answered. Within minutes,  the door was laying on the ground. We looked along the sides and everywhere on it, nothing.

"Maybe it was just a random piece of paper you never threw away, or something," I suggested.

"No, no it has to mean something," he said, looking defeated.

I started walking back downstairs when I heard, "Wait! I found it! There's a "C" written on the door frame."

I smiled. We were making progress. We had the letters "M" and "C" which could spell out anything. It was getting late, so we decided to go home.

*Nash's POV*

What could M and C mean? How many more letters are there? How long is this going to take? I thought.

I got into bed with Caroline. She is so beautiful. If people were rain, I am a drizzle and she is the hurricane. I was awkward, she was gorgeous. (For all you LFA fans ;) ) Why would she ever want me out of everyone in this world she can have? I have no fucking clue, but I'm pretty damn lucky.
