*Caroline's POV*

"Fuck!" I yelled waking Nash up, "It's 8:00! I was supposed to be at work at 7:30!"

"Oh, shit, me too. Let's call in sick. It's pointless going in now," he said, his eyes squinted, hair messy, and voice groggy. I reluctantly agreed. It's just one day, right? What's the worst that can happen. My job pays me a lot, one day won't do anything.

I was in the kitchen in his t-shirt and underwear making breakfast when I felt two arms hug me from behind around my waist. I turned around and kissed him. What could be better than this? Nothing.

*Nash's POV*

As we sat and ate breakfast, I had one thing on my mind. My grandmother is being moved into a nursing home, supposedly the last of my family. But I know in my heart my mom is out there somewhere. I just need a way to find her.

"Caroline, do you remember our first date?" I asked her, hoping to spark her memory.

"Of course, Nash, how could I forget? Swimming in the ocean in the freezing cold, kind of unforgettable."

"Well, do you remember what I said about my mom?"

"About how she left you?"

"Yes," I answered. She nodded.

"That night you said you weren't ready to help me find her, which I completely understand. But now it's been half of a year and we haven't mentioned it," I told her. I really need her help.

"You mean... you want to go find her now? In the middle of this whole thing with your grandmother?"

"Now I know that my grandmother is safe, I don't have to worry about her. If anything happens to her,  we can turn right around and come back."

"We?" She asked.

"Caroline, will you please help me find my mother? She's the only family I have left. Sadly, you and I both know Gram isn't going to last much longer," I practically begged.

"I'll let you know by tomorrow morning."

"Thank you."

Caroline and I had a quiet, peaceful day just cuddling and watching Netflix. It might sound simple to you, but to us, it was love.

*Caroline's POV*

(Laying in bed that night)

I really want to help Nash out with his mother, but imagine how dangerous that could be. He has no fucking idea where she is, and she's a drug addict. For all we know, she could be dead. Finding her dead or not finding her at all would just devastate Nash. But, what if we do find her? What if Nash gets his mother back? There are so many thoughts and possibilities running through my mind right now. I think that something like this, helping each other, being with each other for so long, would really boost the relationship, too.

I looked over at him, damn he's so fucking cute. His chest went up and down slowly as he inhaled and exhaled. His long brown hair was messy and he was shirtless. I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. His eyes fluttered open.

"I'll help you," I whispered into his ear. '"Where do we start?"

He smiled, "I have no idea."
