Serena's POV
I looked behind me as I closed the door, cutting off the faint glow of light that was seeping into my cabin. I closed the door softly and sat down on the step of my cabin, peeling my hand off the large scrape curving along the back of my calf. I winced as I put a little water on it, gradually letting it seep out of the cup I had brought out with me. I glanced up at the moon, which was lonesome in the sky, no clouds in sight. I sighed as I stretched my leg out, resting my heel in the sand. As I ran my hand down the length of the cut on my calf, I heard a soft thud resound from within my cabin. As I turned around, the door eased open, and Ash stepped outside, quietly closing the door behind him before crouching down beside me.
"Serena? Is your leg okay?" Ash asked, his eyes glancing between me and my leg.
"Its fine." I replied. I didn't want to draw attention to myself, even if my new friends had made me feel really welcome.
"Are you sure? You can tell me." He said, looking at me, his brown eyes full of concern. "We're your friends. You can tell us if something's wrong." I crumbled under his gaze, and relented. I saw a look of alarm cross his face as I tilted my leg so Ash could see.
"Serena!" He exclaimed softly. "You should have told us as soon as you did it!" He sprang up, and stepped over my legs to get a better look at the cut.
"When did you do it?" He asked.
"When I jumped in the water for Gary's dare." I said. I saw Ash shake his head when hearing Gary's name.
"We should take you to a teacher in the morning so they can have a look at it. But in the meantime, we should probably put a bit of water on it..." Ash said, pondering the thought.
"Already done." I said. I felt a tingle run up my leg as Ash brushed my leg with his hand. His attention was focused on the cut on my calf, and his hand was hovering over my leg. I felt my face heat up slightly, and I looked away quickly.
"I don't know a whole lot of first aid, so I think if that you've cleaned it, then it should be fine till the morning." Ash said confidently. I smiled up at him and he stood up offering his hand. I took it, a he gently pulled my upright. He then opened the door quietly, and I stepped in. I smiled at Ash, who grinned at me before clambering up into his bunk. I gingerly hopped into my bunk a laid my leg down gently, and closed my eyes. My final thought was Ash.

"SERENA!!"
I opened one eye to see Dawn looking down on me, her dark blue hair dangling down, brushing my face. She grinned as she saw I was awake, pulling back and jumping back down onto her bunk. I sat up, rubbing my eyes, still sleepy as I observed my cabin mates. Clemont was already into his usual clothes, armed with a screwdriver and a spanner, fiddling with something on his lap. Gary and Ash were chatting while they threw their clothes in a heap on their beds. May was sitting in her bunk, her legs dangling down beneath her as she did her hair, her red bandanna lying next to her. Dawn, who was on the bunk below me, was also doing her hair, putting her yellow clips in her hair.
"Serena, you're up!" May said smiling.
"Yeah." I replied. I was normally up early, and I was a little embarrassed to have been the last one up. I grabbed my clothes and climbed down off my bunk. As I was about to go to get changed, Dawn noticed something on my leg.
"SERENA! What did you do to your leg! She cried, dashing over. I screamed at myself mentally. I forgot! Braixen ran over to me in concern.
"I'm fine." I told my pokemon.
