*Raven's POV*

"It all started a few years ago."

I sat up in my seat and showed him he had my full attention.

He hesitated before he continued.

"So I'm going back twelve years, so I was probably in my late twenties."

He stopped for a breif moment before continuing. "So I was young and dumb at the time. I fell in love with a girl named Stacy. She was my everything and I loved her blah blah blah and all that crap."

I nodded again.

"Well, we had a daughter soon after we were together."

Jim pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath.

"Are daughter was beautiful. My life was perfect with just Stacy, Katie and I. Well...not after she turned twelve though."

Jim stopped again, this time longer.

"I found out that...my whole life was a lie."

Jim clenched his fists.

"I found out that I wasn't Stacy's one and only, and Katie knew about it."

"Eventually, I found out. And Stacy tried to deny it. And I just kept asking myself, 'was Katie really my daughter?'"

"They moved away. I didn't even know. Stacy left with Katie, and I never saw them again."

Jim was trying to stop himself from crying, but he was failing miserably.

"It hurt, to know that everything I cared about left me before my eyes. It hurt to know, that I gave them everything I had, and they lied to me."

I was shocked.

'Has he told anyone else this?' I wondered.

"Jim..." I grabbed his wrist, "I'm sorry." I said softly.

Jim just shook his head. "No," He looked at me with sad eyes, "I'm sorry. You didn't do anything wrong Raven. Its just...you remind me a lot of her. She looked like you too. Just every time I looked at you, it just made me mad, because I know I was lied to."

"I understand Jim."

We were walking back out to the car, but Jim stopped.

"Raven?"

"Yeah?"

Jim placed his hands on my shoulders. "Just to clarify, your voice isn't annoying, you sing beautifly. And, you're not a brat. I'm sorry Raven."

Then he did something unexpected.

He hugged me.

I was suprised. I wasn't really expecting the truth from him. I also didn't think of him hugging me.

But I hugged back.

I knew he was sorry.

I now understood why he acted like he did.

We pulled away, and then I looked at him.

"I forgive you."
