"Hey Raven." Corey said hugging me. "Have a good day at school?"

I nodded, and then walked upstairs.

"Raven, I need to talk to you." Corey said from the living room.

So I walked back down to the living room. Corey pointed to the open spot on the couch right next to him.

"Where is everyone?" I asked.

"At the studio." Corey answered.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

Corey thought for a moment. And then he turned to me with a serious look on my face.

"Am I in trouble?" I asked.

Corey laughed and shook his head.

"I just need to talk to talk to you."

I nodded. "Alright."

"How long has it been since you moved here?" Corey asked.

"About over a month." I answered.

"Okay. Well..." Corey smiled.

He hesitated a little. "Do you remember when we were all watching a movie?"

I nodded. "Yeah why?"

"Um, I put you to bed and..." His voice trailed off.

"Corey what? You can tell me."

"You called me dad." He blurted.

Yes, I did call him dad. It was no accident either. I wanted to call him dad. He acts like a dad too.

Was he mad at me for calling him that?

"Did you mean to?" Corey asked.

I looked up at him and nodded.

He smiled widly.

"It just made me think. You've been living with us for awhile, you called me dad. I was just wondering if you want to make it official."

My eyes widened.

"Y-you mean-"

"Yes Raven. Would you like me to adopt you officially?"

I was just about to say yes, but their was a knock at the door.

Corey got up, and walked downstairs.

I sighed softly. I can't believe Corey wanted to adopt me!

But my happiness faded, and my heart rate picked up when I walked downstairs.

"Oh I'm just here for Raven." A woman said.

It can't be her.

How could it be her?

How did she find out where I was?

There she stood.

She still looked the same.

Poorly bleached blonde hair and tanned skin.
Her eyes were full of the same evil I see before she beats me.

I couldn't move.

Her face was corrupted by that nasty smile that could send shivers down your spine.

"Hello Raven." My mother said darkly.
