Evita's POV
My life has sorta gone back to normal, I mean, as normal as being the daughter of a goddess who is being in captivity by your uncle can be. Which, now I think about it, isn't very normal. But other than that small-okay, huge fact, everything seemed to have gone back to the way it was before the incident, except for one thing, that is. I was more cautious and I constantly found myself looking out for Dianite.
Right now I was sitting on the hot sand of the beach, listening to the peaceful pattern of the waves that were lapping methodically against the golden sand. I heard something strange coming from behind me and looked around to see a strange man that matched the strange sound.
He seemed to be made of flames that licked at the air around him. I stood up and backed away from him, my ankles going into the water. I didn't want anything to do with this man, he looked too much like Dianite. I took my phone out of my back pocket and called Tom, and the man thankfully didn't see me doing it.
Tom's POV
I was out mining for diamonds when my phone rang and I pulled it out of my pocket. I looked at he caller ID and saw that it was Evita. I pressed the green answer button and held the phone to my ear as I continued to mine, although slower because I was only using one hand.
"Hello." I said, but was meet with nothing. I turned up the volume on my phone, listened carefully, and heard talking. Evita was talking to someone, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I waited and thought hard until it hit me.
Furia.
I dropped my pickaxe which clattered nosily onto the stone of the mine and I ran. I found Evita on the beach talking to Furia. "Furia." I growled, walking towards him and trying to seem as threatening as possible.
He turned to me and grinned evilly. "Ah, Tom." He replied, not looking at Evita at all. I kept my hand on the hilt of my sword, as a warning. Furia smiled and took a couple steps away.
Well, I did not expect that.
Suddenly, he paused in mid-stride and turned. "Oh, but before I go, let me just... take my hostage." Before I could do anything he grabbed Evita and disappeared, leaving sparks that floated onto the sand and into the water.
I stood there feeling helpless, my hand still on my sword. I had to do something, but, what? I realized something, there was only one person who could help, and I hated that one person. Mianite. Well, I guess I'm going to the Mianite temple.
"Mianite!" I called as I got there. He appeared in front of me and glowered.
"What do you want, Dianitee?" He demanded, his voice venomous when he said 'Dianitee'. He crossed his arms, annoyed.
"It's Evita, she was taken by Furia." I explained, talking so fast I almost forgot to breathe. Mianite's muscles visibly tensed and he lost his angry look as it was replaced with a look of worry. He started pacing back and fourth, muttering things to himself, none of which I could make out.
Mianite's POV
I paced, muttering to myself. I could see Tom watching me and I stopped. I needed everyone here, now. I used my God-magic to send a message to Sonja, Tucker, and Jordan.
"M'lord." Tucker said, walking in with Sonja. They bowed, glaring at Tom who sifted uncomfortable.
Jordan came next and bowed quickly. "Lord, Mianite." He greeted.
"Greetings, now, straight to business. I have called you here because Lady Evita had been kidnapped by Furia, Dianite's son." I explained. Jordan, Sonja, and Tucker gasped in surprise. "You must collect your best gear to find her before Dianite can harm her. Go, now. and prepare for a fight."
Evita's POV (All the POV changes! *crosses arms and puts on sunglasses*)
I struggles against Furia's grip, but he was strong. I closed my eyes and imagined I was somewhere else but it didn't work. I was confused until I saw a metal band that had been placed on my wrist, it was an anti-magic bracelet.
"Can you let go of me now?!" I demanded, trying in vain to get out of his grip.
He just laughed at me and said, "No way, daughter of Ianite." He smirked.
He was actually enjoying this. I realized.
We reached what looked like some sort of prison. "You, call yourself a peacekeeper?" He asked tauntingly. He physically threw me down in a cell.
Then he smirked and said, "Well, the days of peace are over."
