Antigone (Modern Day)

Exodus

(In Creon's view)

As I get to the building that once was the place I dreaded coming to I hustle down the hall. I glance at my watch and see that it is 12:59 p.m. I run faster really pumping my arms. As I get to the end of another hallway I see my son trying to get into the room where Antigone is getting hooked up to be put to her ending. I yell as loud as I can. The guards stop restraining my son and my son opens the door. I glance at my watch as it says 1:01 p.m. I yell again for my son to stop, but he doesn't hear me. Crap! I hope my son is smart enough not to touch her!

(3rd person point of view)

Creon runs to the door, but the guards won't let him get in. "Let me in! She's not guilty!" Creon yells. The window next to him shows Antigone being electrocuted and Haimon grabbing her arm. Haimon falls to the floor, his eyes wide open staring at the ceiling.

"NO! My son!" Creon yells as tears run down his face. The guards eventually got fed up with his yelling and struggling that they let him into the room. Antigone was being loaded onto a gurney along with Haimon.

(At Creon's home)

A police officer knocked on Creon's front door. Eurydice, Creon's wife, opens the door find him. "Hello! What can I do for you?" Eurydice asks.

"There has been an incident. When Antigone was undergoing the electric chair, Haimon somehow got in there and killed himself. I'm so sorry, Mrs." The police officer gives her a sad smile.

Eurydice hesitates a bit before replying, "Thank you for telling me, sir. Good night." She shuts the door and walks into her bedroom. Eurydice sat down and stared at the wall for hours. She knew what she wanted to do. "I'm sorry," she says while grabbing her pistol from the nightstand.

(Creon gets the news of Eurydice's death)

"Oh my! This is my punishment! This is worse than I thought it would be... Teiresias you were right!" Creon yells to no one.

Teiresias walks into the court room and the guide dog slowly guides him to Creon. "I'm sorry, you were warned." He says to Creon as he walks away.
