Ch.13

Jeff (pov) 

"So why haven't you been sleeping?" I ask him and he mumbles something inaudible. "Ben you do realize I can't hear you right" I tell him "I said i've been having some fucked up nightmares" he says looking down. "So what happens in these nightmares" I ask letting go of his shoulders. "Some fucked up shit that's what" he says with a dark chuckle. "Well you gonna tell me" I ask "well first off the house is completely destroyed" he says leaning his head on the back of the couch. "Then there's the part where the forest is on fire" I cringe at the thought fire isn't exactly a friend of mine.

"Now this is where shit starts to get messed. up" he continues "everyone is either dead or being killed ........ violently". He paused he seemed worried "ben" I ask he looks at me something was definitely worrying him. "You may not like what happens next" he says quietly "it doesn't matter just tell me". He takes a deep breathe and closes his eyes "well something I don't know what drags me above the lake and I see...". He paused like he was dreading the next part "ben tell me what happens" I tell him. He stays frozen "come on man talk to me" his head snaps to look at me. "And just what the hell do you want me to say?!" he yells "I want you to tell me what's wrong". "Oh so you want to know you get killed and I can't do shit about it!" he yells then freezes "what?".

Ben (pov) 

Awww fuck did I really just say that "what?" he asks as if he didn't hear me. "I said and I quote 'you get killed'" I tell him looking at the ground. "Well shit if you don't mind my asking what happens?" he asks I sigh "I don't see everything but your covered in gashes and burns and your fighting jane". He tenses he really hates her "and to make a short story shorter you get stabbed in the heart and i'm thrown in the lake" I finish. He takes a deep breathe "is it safe to assume this is because of that zalgo shit" he asks I nod. "Ben why is it that this shit gets to you?" I shrug "I don't know I guess it's because I know what happens when you piss them off".

Next thing I know arms wrapp around me "ben I promise everything will be fine" he whispers. I don't respond part of me wants to believe him but another part just can't. "Why do you care?" I blurt out "what do you mean?" he asks. "I mean this is my hang up not yours so....... why?" I ask "because I fucking care about you that's why" he tells me. I don't know why but those words brought me comfort he pulled back so I was looking at him his arms still around me. I quickly realized our noses were an inch apart and a light blush coated my cheeks and he chuckled. "W-what's so f-funny?" I manage to stutter out he looks in my eyes and I see something I haven't seen before. "What's funny is you" he says leaning in next thing I know his lips are on mine. After the initial shock I kiss him back when we pull apart I blush like an idiot and look down. He chuckled and lightly pressed my head into his chest we ended up lying on the couch my head still on his chest. I soon felt myself start to drift into sleep but I was afraid I didn't want those nightmares to come back. I think jeff knew this and tried to calm me down by lightly rubbing his hand on my back. "Shhhh just go to sleep ya loveable idiot" so I did listening to the sound of his heartbeat.
