The first thing I did when I woke up was Email my dad that I will be going to France and I would suggest them going to Spain as that will be more fun; for I’m going for business…but when my mum knew, she immediately chose France with my dad agreeing on her choice explaining that I’m working in a company and they sure won’t give me all the work as others are going too so we’ll find time to have fun together!

I really love hanging out with my parents as they are fun and so humorous! But the thought of going with them to Paris and I’m travelling with Tyler, Kate and the judging group. No. That is the worst thing I could imagine happening. So I called Kate, as she always had the ability to calm someone down.

“Hi Kate, you’ve met my mum right and you know how she is, well now both my parents are going on a trip and when they knew I am going to Paris they’ve also decided going to France BUT I CANNOT LET THIS_______”

“stop, stop ,STOP” she said interrupting me “I got the story. I get what you mean! And I have the plan; I’ll call a friend of mine who works at the airport and maybe we can work something together!”

At that moment she gave me hope that it might work. I absolutely didn’t feel like going anymore but maybe it will work I thought.

------------------------------------------------

It was Wednesday the 3rd of July and I was standing there finishing up my packing with Kate lying on my bed telling me what to take and what not to take. My flight was 2 hours from now and my parents’ flight was only an hour from now, both going to the same destination. I had to go, Kate didn’t want to go by herself and I didn’t want to let her down! I hope it won’t be that bad. Kate tried a lot with her friend but he said he couldn’t do anything about it.

“Take something formal, you wouldn’t want to meet Jacques with a casual t-shirt would you?”

“who is this Jack anyway?” I questioned

“OMG! ‘This Jack’ is Dola Qüeres clothes designer”

-Whose clothes designer I thought. I truly haven’t heard of this name… Ever!-

“I guess they really should put you as a life-person encyclopedia” I said kidding

“I’d be a millionaire if they did” she assured and we finally set off.

In the car someone called Kate and I was listening, but I didn’t know what she meant by saying “Great that is exactly what she wanted”, “She’s crying?”, “what! Oh great we’ll be there in a bit!”.

When she finished, I asked her what she meant but instead of answering she just went faster and faster and I started feeling adrenaline rushing through my body, since we were going to crash in about 3 cars, 5 trucks and we almost killed 35 school children crossing the street.

At last we reached the airport and all she said throughout our ride was “Hang on girl! Because you’re going to love me!”. We went out of  the car and Kate started running inside with her luggage and I was running behind her like a cow, when I remembered that I had to call my parents as their plane was taking off in 10 minutes. Ahh I was really bothered by the thought of how bad this trip will be. I reached to my phone when I suddenly took a glimpse of my father but he seemed really angry… I went running to see what was wrong with him.

“Hey dad. Where’s mum?”

“didn’t you see what happened?!, our flight was delayed to next week and__”  - What kind of luck did I have- I thought “but a guy felt sorry for your mum when he saw her shouting and jumping like a three year old kid in the middle of the airport, so he asked us if we would like to convert to a flight that’s going to Spain in two hours”

“And did you accept?” I blurted out

“Well, I didn’t but your mum did, at least I saw it was a good idea since your mum calmed down a little!”

“And I see it’s a good idea too” Said Kate winking at me.

“and where is mum now ?” I said willing to say goodbye.

“A bunch of guys were calming her down in the café, so if you two will excuse me I have to go see them just in case anyone was thinking of putting his eyes on her, do Email us about your Trip and send us pictures” He said as he kissed me goodbye.

“Gee … with all my respect, your mum is so screwed” Kate said remarking my mum jumping and crying like a child.

“I agree… so you’ve planned this all along haven’t you!” I said feeling regret for what has happened.

“Yup I have, I told you you’re going to love me”

“I always will” I said as we reached the café.

I asked for an espresso with a spoon of sugar and Kate asked for tea with two cinnamon rolls for both of us. Our orders came and my espresso seemed like a cup of sugar with a spoon of coffee. “how disgusting” I told Kate as a guy slipped in the seat in front of me!

“Hey Wuzzzup?”

“Hello, and you are?!!” Kate said ___ I knew who he was but GOSH, I was so surprised, the way he looked was so different, the tattoos were gone, no piercings on his face or tongue. He looked much nicer! You could actually see his hazel eyes and Spanish tan now.

“Aren’t you going to introduce me Em?” and he shot me a grin

“Oh sure I am, umm Kate this is Tyler Frawne, I know him from work as I’m designing his business offices after this trip. And Tyler this is Kate, My best friend. She told me about the competition” I said still staring at how different he looked – BTW: if you are wondering: No we weren’t allowed to see the other participants in the competition so I only took a glimpse of him and that’s why he looked familiar at the beginning of the story- “But what the hell happened to all the tattoos” My mouth slipped

“Nice to meet you Tyler” Said Kate giving me the shut-up face   -yes I’m familiar with it-

“Nice to meet you too” He said trying not to laugh “You were asking about the tattoos? These were only temporarily until the party I had, finished” He explained

“Oh, anyway” I said trying to change the subject “How much time for our flight?”

“32 minutes” Tyler replied

“So are you also travelling to Europe for the first time?” I asked referring to the 2 minutes in 32

“No I’m only almost always exactly on time” He said

“Haha, I wish Em was like you!” Kate said teasing.
