The three brothers were silent as they prepared for the day. They haven't talked to each other since they finally halted their fight late last night. Thanks to their advanced healing all of the bruising had disappeared and Ian was just a little sore where Van had broken his arm, of course Ian returned the favor and broke one or two of Van's ribs. All three were anxious to see Wren and thinking of ways to win her heart before the others. They were so upset that now that they had found their mate, they had all of this to deal with and will have to compete for her with those that had been their closest friends, their brothers by bond. They had with unanimous consent called a truce for the time being and planned to discuss *cough* Fight *cough* about it over the weekend. Each went to their classrooms, Gray and Ian jealous that Van go to see her first everyday as she is in his homeroom.

VAN'S POV

As soon as I entered my classroom I went directly to Wren's finished artwork. She really has a remarkable talent and I was in awe of the beauty and emotion she could capture without even showing a face. I was still studying it when the door opened and in stepped my precious mate. She had her hair down in wild waves of dark chocolate with small streaks of red that were unnoticeable when she had it up in a bun as she had yesterday. She had on a plain grey thermal style shirt which hugged her breasts enticingly without being obscene. Her stone washed jeans cupped her bottom and showcased her shapely thighs until they flared out some from the knees. I looked up at her gorgeous eyes that reminded me of an opal, light turquois in color with fiery streaks of purple, pale blue and a bright yellow green like Peridot. Under those mesmerizing eyes were bruised arcs indicating a lack of sleep. "Wren, are you alright?"

She nodded with a yawn, "Yes sir, I just didn't get much sleep last night. I'll be okay though, thanks for asking." She stumbled over to one of the high tables and sat on the stool closest to her laying her head on the cool metal surface with her eyes closed. I looked on in concern, worried about my fragile mate. Shortly after we were joined by the other students for the homeroom class, and I quickly took the roll call so that she could rest some more before her first class of the day. I noticed that there was a girl named Veronica that had the same last name as Wren, Williams. I wonder if she is part of her adopted family, a sister or maybe a cousin? "Veronica?"

"Here I am sir."

"I see you have the same last name as Wren, any relation?" I watched her bright blue eyes narrow at the question as she mumbled under her breath "Unfortunately." I tried not to show my irritation since a normal human would not have been able to hear her complaint. "I'm sorry, what was that I couldn't hear you."

"Yes sir, she's my adopted sister. We just felt so bad for her we had to give her a place to live." Her sweet tone tried to hide the venom behind her wording of the phrase.

"I see, well if you are even half as talented as she is, I will look forward to seeing your work."

I could tell that my compliment to Wren got under her skin. I tried to catch her eye so that I could read her aura but she turned to talk to the student beside her. One of the students, Tristan, came up to ask for help with some of his homework distracting me from the girls but when I heard my mate's name I listened in on their conversation.

"....likes Wren?" Katie's high squeaky voice saying my mate's name is what brought my attention to them.

Veronica was leaning over and whispering a response to her friend. "God, how can anyone like that Alley Cat? He was probably just trying to make me jealous so that I'd make the first move. Did you see the heated look he was giving me?"

Katie gave a small nod with a disappointed look on her face. "I thought you were going to go after Mr. Ian, and leave Mr. Van for me and Mr. Andrews for Monica?"
