My detour to escape Blake caused me to almost be late. I only had a few seconds before the bell would ring as I came around the corner to where the Art room door was gaping open. I could see Van's blond head peering out the door in the direction that I would normally have been coming from. It was if he sensed me because as soon as I took one step further in closing the 20-foot distance between us, his head turned. I could see the relief in his eyes and wondered why he had been so worried. I rushed the remaining distance and had to consciously force myself not to throw myself in his arms. I had to settle with a barely perceptible brush of my arm to his. Even that light of a touch was enough to make my body tingle with awareness.

Seeing that all the other students had their artwork out and were working on it, I went to get mine. After setting it up on the easel furthest from the other students I went to get my paints. I gathered all the colors that I had noted down in last class and I couldn't find any more of the dark brown. Van was busy helping another student so I went to the supply closet to get some more. I opened the door in the corner of the room and flicked on the switch. It took a moment for the fluorescent lights to flicker on revealing the long this storage room. It took up the entire length of his classroom but was only a few feet wide. I imagine that Van has to step through the whole thing sideways to get to the other side.

I look over all of the shelves, trying to find the shade of brown that I needed for my piece. I was about to give up and settle on a different color when I saw a box in the upper left corner that looked like it was the right shade. It was too high for me to reach so I grabbed the stepstool from beside the door and took it to the other side. I carefully stepped up on it and still couldn't quite reach the box, but I could at least tell that it is the color I wanted. I put my hand on the shelf below and tested its sturdiness. Finding its hold strong I used it to help keep me more secure as I stood on my tiptoes and stretched my other hand out to the box. My fingers brushed against it bringing it closer to me. I heard a noise at the door and turned to see the heated eyes of Van.

"What are you doing Wren? Get down from there, I'll get it." He said concernedly.

"I almost have it Va, err, Mr. Van." I turn back and with my fingers just able to reach its bottom edge, I shifted it further off the shelf. It was not as wide as I had thought the box would be and fell, startling me. I lost my balance and braced myself for the hard surface of the tile floor and the scrapes of the too close shelves and walls. My eyes were tightly shut and it took my body a few seconds to relay the message to my brain. Instead of the cold floor, I was warm, instead of pain, pleasurable sparks. I peeked open my eyes, Van had me safely in his arms. I let out a deep relieved sigh and tried to snuggle my head against his chest.

He set me down and held me away from his body. I felt rejected. My eyes were watering and I tried to keep them at bay. In my head I knew that he wasn't really rejecting me but it was like my emotions were heightened and I had no control over them no matter how illogical they were. His eyes scanned my body before connecting with my own glistening orbs. I could see the worry in his face, "Are you okay Wren? Angel, are you hurt." I shook my head and whispered, "No. You saved me." He too let out a relieved sigh and pulled me back flush to his chest. Comforting me and relieving me of the false sense of rejection. One of his sturdy arms was wrapped across my upper back, his hand curled around my side, fingers brushing against my breast. His other arm angled diagonally down my back his hand grasping my hip.

He nuzzled his head on the top of my hair and I felt the light kisses he placed on my head. I wrapped my arms tightly around his waist, my clasped hands resting on his perfect butt. He tilted my head back and placed a soft kiss on my trembling lips, before running his mouth lightly up my jaw to my ear. He gently sucked my delicate earlobe in his mouth before lightly biting it. He held it between his teeth tugging softly. It didn't hurt at all, in fact it felt delicious. I gasped at the sensation and splayed my hands on the taut cheeks of his butt. His hand on my hip slid to my bum and he squeezed firmly and pressed me ever closer to his front. The tip of his tongue traced the shell of my ear and then he whispered tenderly, "You scared me Angel. Please don't do that again. You can always ask me for help."
