I woke up to the sound of a shrill scream.
Hayley. She probably saw a spider or something.
I looked around the room, noticing the sleepy expression on all of their faces. Well, Belle didn’t look sleepy but I assumed she had woken up early. She was already wearing a pink top, that had a bookworm on it and some jeans. Her brown hair was in a messily put up bun. Sometimes I envied her, she could even make that kind of outfit look amazing. I, on the other hand, had to try really hard and even then I sometimes didn’t look good.
She had her nose in a book, like always. Lucky her, everyone else got a rude wake up call from Hayley. I gave an apologetic smile to everyone, hoping they would notice and not try to kill Hayley. Well, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t see it.
Either fortunately or unfortunately, almost everyone saw it. Almost. Rose looked really mad, I already knew she would be. I could almost see the red she must have seen. Nobody messes with her sleep, not even one of us could wake her up.
I sighed, wishing to go back under the covers but that was sadly not an option. I stood up before quickly sitting back down. Crap, my stupid leg, I thought to myself.
“Uh, Snow. Would you mind....” I trailed off. Luckily she understood and helped me get my clothes before getting me to the bathroom. I changed as quickly as possible before heading back with a spray bottle in my hands. I was still sleepy but I shook it away as the cold water hit my hair. It took almost no effort to comb my hair that hadn't been to bad to begin with. I walked into the room, grabbing a blue headband to accent the turquoise sundress. I noticed everyone else had gotten dressed- even Rose. Though she didn't look too happy about it.
The spray bottle was taken from me as soon as my friends saw it. Snow, who had the shortest hair, decided to go first considering it wouldn't take as much time. We continued to go like that, in order of shortest to longest. Rapunzel happened to be last so Snow decided to start on my make up. I had to give her credit for the look because it really was amazing even our tomboy, Rose, was impressed. I liked it because of how simple it is; just some eyeliner, mascara and a small amount of blue eyeshadow. I loved the color because it made my blue eyes pop.
Snow did everyone else's make up and I could tell they liked it too. We were all wearing dresses, just different colors and styles. My dress was a strapless so I had to wear a jean jacket. Everyone else had dresses designed like a t-shirt almost. They were lucky, I already knew I was going to get hot wearing the jacket. Why did Royal's Academy have that stupid no shoulder rule? I would love to know because what guy is going to be like, dang girl that's a fine shoulder. As far as I'm concerned no guy is.
I sighed then smiled at my friends. I hated doing that to them, giving a fake smile instead of a real one but that's all I have lately. I didn't want my friends worrying about me. I knew they had enough to be concerned about already. I could see they were really upset about something but I couldn't determine what. It really put a damper on the already tight mood.
I slipped on a shoe and hopped out of the room motioning for my friends to follow me to breakfast. I put one fist out and tried to lighten the mood by saying, "Justice League onward and outward." My plan worked before backfiring.
At first I got all of my friends laughing and saying what super hero they would be but Hayley came out at around the same time.
"More like Loser league. And what's with the outfit, going to a costume party?"
I was just going to shrug it off but apparently Rose had a different idea. She was probably still upset about Hayley waking her up at 6:30 when she could have slept in until 7:00.
