Chapter 1
Tomo woke up to the sound of her alarm at her bedside. Her cat, Nozomi, jumped off her chest as she sat up in bed. She turned her alarm off as she rubbed one of her tired amber eyes. Nozomi meowed for her attention and with a smile, Tomo petted the top of her calico cat's head, stroking the fur from the cat's head and down the back.
"Morning, Nozomi-tan." Tomo said with a soft smile.
Nozomi purred from the petting before jumping off the bed. Tomo got out of bed and stretched before she got dressed. Tomo decided to wear a tan turtle-neck sweater with mid-length sleeved and a dark colored pleated skirt with matching leggings. In the bathroom, she brushed out her shoulder length bleach blonde (almost white) hair and was going to brush her teeth before she realized that there was no more toothpaste. She popped two mints in her mouth before heading down stairs to do her daily chores. Nozomi stayed at her side as she swept, mopped, vacuumed, and such. She made breakfast for her father before eating her own. She grabbed her school bag and headed towards the door before Nozomi sat in her way and meowed at her.
"Oh right, sorry, Nozomi." Tomo said before heading to the cupboards and poured some cat food into Nozomi's feeding bowl. She grabbed the milk carton and poured what was left into the water bowl. Tomo gave one last pet to her cat and left.
"See you later, Nozomi-tan!"

Tomo road up the street to her new school on her bike and soon stopped right at the gates to admire the huge building that some how had a pink tint to it.
"Ouran Academy." Tomo said softly as she smiled, "My new school."
After chaining her bike to a bike post near by, she fixed her satchel bag onto her shoulder and hurried inside. It was her first day attending Ouran Academy and to tell the truth, she was surprised that the academy actually accepted her. She was ecstatic when the letter came in. Within her letter also held a map of the place. Sadly though, Tomo realized that she had left that map at home when she had tried to search for it in her skirt pockets, so now she had to look for the office blindly. She was walking down a hallway with windows reaching floor to ceiling before taking a sharp turn and bumping into someone.
"Oh! So sorry!" Tomo apologized as she bowed in front of the person on the floor.
"It's alright. No one's hurt, right?" Said the person
Tomo straightened herself and realized she had bumped into a boy that was two inches shorter than her. The boy had brown hair and large, matching brown eyes. Then she realized that the boy looked a bit surprised to see her.
"You're a new student, aren't you?" The boy asked with a smile. Tomo nodded with a shy smile back.
"Yes. I'm Nakanishi Tomo." She said to him.
"I'm Fujioka Haruhi. It's nice to meet you." The boy greeted her before tilting his head down a bit and then back up in a notion of a light bow. Tomo did the same. "You're probably looking for the office, right?"
"Yeah, do you know where it is?" Tomo asked him, "I left the school map at home."
"I know how you feel." Haruhi said to her, "When it was my first day here, I didn't know where I was going either. I'll show you the way."
Both Tomo and Haruhi began to walk down the hallway. Along the way, they had a conversation with each other. Tomo found out that Haruhi wasn't from a rich family like all the rest of the students and was actually what the other students call a "commoner". Guess Tomo was too since she didn't come from a rich family as well. It calmed Tomo a bit that she wasn't going to be completely surrounded by rich people, but would she ever see Haruhi again in this gigantic school made up of rich people? Soon Haruhi stopped in front of a door.
