Chapter 2
Tomo blinked her eyes twice before rubbing them. A pen had slipped out from her bag as she brought her arms up to rub her eyes. Tomo blinked one more time to make sure that what she was seeing was actually real. It sure was.
"H-Haruhi-san?" Tomo said in slight confusion.
"Ah, Tomo-san." Said the brown haired boy that Tomo met before. He then broke away from the group of seemingly handsome boys and came to Tomo's side.. "Why are you here?"
"Oh! Uh..." Tomo smiled sheepishly as she rubbed the side of her neck, "Turns out that I did have the map with me the whole time, and I was looking around from my classes but then half the day passed by already, and the map slipped from my hand when I was in the garden and fell into the pond..."
"Oh, I'm sorry about that." Haruhi said, "I probably should have stayed with you a bit to help you find your classes."
"That's alright, really," Tomo told him, "besides, I had a nice time looking around the place."
Suddenly, the blond haired boy that was sitting in the chair popped up from behind Haruhi with a quizzical look on his face. His sudden appearance surprised Tomo a bit.
"Haruhi, who's this?" The blond boy asked. "Is she a friend of yours?"
Haruhi looked irked from his question, even more so now that he was leaning in Tomo's face from behind Haruhi. "I only met her in the halls today, Tamaki-Senpai."
"Well then!" The blond boy named Tamaki side-stepped around Haruhi before going down on one knee and taking Tomo's hand in his, "Welcome fair princess. A friend of Haruhi is a friend of mine and to the Host club. You are always welcomed here!"
Tomo's face tinted a light shade of pink from embarrassment at Tamaki's sudden action. Did he also say Host club? Like the types of clubs that women go to to get flirted with by handsome men?
"I only just met her today," Haruhi explained.
"None the less!" Tamaki said, turning around slightly to look at Haruhi with a pointing index finger. "Besides, you both used first names while addressing to each other, so you two must be friends already!"
Well, he wasn't wrong. Tomo did ask Haruhi if they could use first names when addressing each other when they were talking to each other as Haruhi lead her to the office. Then again, they did just meet today and even though they both agreed to call each other by first name, being actual friends with each other is still a long way away from them.
As Tomo slipped her hand out of Tamaki's grasp and took a few steps back to get some distance between him and her, she said, "Uh, thank you and all but I just thought this was a normal music room and that it had a teacher in it and-"
As she stepped backwards, her heel landed on top of the pen that fell out of her bag and made her foot jut out from under her. Her eyes widened as she began to fall. Her hand extended outwards in an attempt to grab something. She did grab something, but it wasn't stable enough to support her weight and fell with her. The sound of something falling next to her accompanied her as she landed on the waxed tiled floor. She sat up wincing and rubbed the back of her head. She noticed something was in her hand and saw that it was a broken frame of something. She looked to her side and saw that it was a part of a picture frame.
"Uh-oh, looks like you broke the four million yen intricately hand carved African Blackwood frame." A voice said behind her.
"You better save the painting that came with it. It costs the same." Another voice said.
