Maine just got home when she recieved a text, nilalagnat raw si Alden. The guy is feeling under the weather since monday pero ayaw pa rin paawat sa pagtatrabaho. So they just let him, wala naman silang magagawa. Galit ata yung sa salitang pahinga pero ibang usapan na ngayon. He's sick and he needs to rest but they can't argue with him. Yung simpleng pag-aalaga nga ayaw niya ipagawa, ang pigilan pa kayang siyang magtrabaho. Pero kung si Maine ang gagawa baka sakali, kay Maine Mendoza lang naman di umuubra katigasan ng ulo ni Richard Faulkerson eh paano ba naman kasi parehas sila, stubborn couple. That's why they've decided to inform her because they know that Maine wouldn't let Alden work while he's suffering from high fever or atleast he'll let her to take care of him. Maine decided to drop by the mini mart before driving her way to him. She brought some medicine and fruits for him, thank God she didn't cause that much of commotion. After a couple of photo ops and autograph, she's able to leave. Pagdating niya naman sa location nakasalang pa si Alden, he's smiling and doing his work well pero sobrang halata na hindi siya ok. Ang lamya at ang tamlay ng mga mata.
"hi." Alden greeted.
Maine give him a peck on the cheeks. "you're sick."
Alden smiled a bit and draped his arms on her shoulders. "I'm fine."
"of course not." she mumbled as she put her hand on his forehead. "ang init mo kaya."
"hot talaga ako."
Maine squinted her eyes. "nagawa pa magbiro. Let's go inside, you need to rest."
"may isa pa akong scene."
"I know. Magpapahinga ka lang naman hindi ko sinabing uuwi na tayo." she retorted. "but I'm telling you, paghindi ka nag pahinga iuuwi kita kahit hindi pa tapos and you won't be able to work till you're completely ok. I don't care if you'll get mad at me."
Alden decided not to argue anymore because the way her girlfriend look, she's to determine to let him do what she says. Walang saysay kung makikipagtalo pa siya at wala na siya lakas para gawin yun. Halos umikot na nga paningin niya at kulang na lang tanggalin niya yung ulo niya sa sobrang bigat. So, he rest for awhile while Maine put some Kool Fever on his forehead. Nag-away pa sila kasi ipinagpipilitan ni Alden na pangbata lang yun. In the end he slept with that thing attached to his forehead as Maine kept on monitoring his temperature but he's rest was cut short cause they need to tape the next sequence already buti na lang di siya ganoon kainit at di na rin ganoon kasakit yung ulo niya sapat naman na yung tulog kahit papaano. So, Maine was a bit relief but still all eyes on Alden, she would hand him water, wipe off his sweat, ask him what he's feeling and check his temperature every now and then. Kala mo yung nanay na sobrang aligaga kasi yung pasaway niyang anak nagpumilit na pumasok kahit masama ang pakiramdam.
"take this." Maine ordered as she sat next to him on bench while waiting for the setup to be done.
"thank you." Alden uttured after taking his medicine. "ok ka lang?"
"ok lang ako, ikaw 'tong nilalagnat."
Alden smiled. "ok na ko. Nandyan ka kasi."
"ok ka na nga. Corny mo nanaman eh."
"kwento ka."
"ha?"
"just tell me random stories o kaya mag-joke ka na lang. I need to get going." Alden said. "Inaantok na ko eh." he whispered.
Maine laughed. "yan kasi pati sa tulog ang kuripot."
"grabe siya. Di kaya epekto lang 'to ng gamot."
"so kasalanan ko pa? kasalanan ko? ha?" she asked with one eyebrow up as she crossed her arms.
Alden laugh hardly as he saw Maine's reaction.
She hit his arm. "pagtawanan ba ko? seryoso ako!"
"cute mo kasi magtaray. Di bagay parang kang yung mga nanay na napapanuod ko sa tv, curlers na lang kulang. Pwede na!" he said between his laughs.
Maine hit his arm once more. "tuwang-tuwa ka na. Ikaw nga muntanga naka-suit tirik na tirik yung araw"
"gwapo naman."
"gwapo nga, tingnan mo naman yang pawis mo!" she hissed.
"dyan ka naman para punasan eh. Kaya ok lang."
Maine flashed his favorite wacky face of her that made him smile with those chinky eyes. She let out a genuine laugh at the sight of Alden who's now throwing his head back laughing cause of her make faces parang walang sakit at hindi pagod eh. It's a sight she didn't picture seeing cause he's sick but there he is laughing his heart out as if a little kid who's watching Tom and Jerry's newest episode. Maine Mendoza's effect hit again.
