"uy!" Maine called his attention for the nth time.
"oh?" Alden answered, his attention is still stuck on the screen of his phone.
Maine sighed. "grabe siya. Di talaga nakikinig."
"ha?"
"ewan!" she hissed and left.
"uuuuy!" Alden called as he trailed after her. "sorry na."
"che!"
"luh." he said. When he was finally able to keep up with her pace. He smiled and poked her side. "ganda mo."
"tigilan mo ko." Maine uttured as she rolled her eyes.
"sorry na." Alden sweetly mumbled. "nagbabasa lang ako ng mga messages, importante lang."
"parang naman yung sinasabi ko di importante." Maine whispered.
"pasensya na."
"sige! sige!" she gave up. "stop pouting."
Alden sheepishly smiled. "nati-tempt ka noh?!"
Maine's eyes grew big. "ikaw. Umaayos ka nga! Estudyante ka ngayon. Magtino."
"ang tino ko kaya." he said and stand straight.
Maine couldn't argue more so she just smiled and enjoy the sight infront of her.
"mahal!" she called holding her phone up.
"tingin. Mamaya mukha nanaman akong ewan dyan." Alden said between his laughs.
"video 'to!" she informed. "say hi!"
"Hiiiii!" Alden playfully waved at the camera.
Maine let out a laugh. "be still!"
Alden stopped and stared at her. "ok na?" he calmly asked.
"gwapo mo."
Alden shook his head in amusement and went near her. Maine shifted the camera lens towards the both of them.
"so excited to for this bubba! Finally." she cheerfully stated and end the video.
Alden couldn't help but stare at her. She's everything she could ask for. Best girlfriend ever!
Maine suddenly kissed his lips. "di na kasi kita pwedeng i-kiss mamaya."
"ba't naman?" Alden asked after gathering his wits.
"kasi masyadong maraming tao tsaka nandun si daddy bae, nakakahiya."
"nahihiya ka pa sa lagay na yan?" Alden retorted. "you just kissed me at the hallway, my love."
"ah basta! wag ka nga."
As the graduation march started playing, water starts to pool in Maine's eyes. Watching him walk down the red carpet gives her chills. She couldn't help it, she's so proud of her boyfriend. Finally, after two years of hard work and sleepless nights this is it, he's finally graduating from college. Maine keeps on taking pictures of Alden, the toga really looks good on him. He was meant to wear that, it just took some time, but he really is meant to wear that and have this recognition.

Alden had this very satisfied and fulfilled look when his name was called. He excitedly went up to get his diploma, he whispered a little prayer before he went down. His eyes search for Maine, he smiled widely when their eyes met. Alden proudly shows her his diploma and Maine's tears start to flow as she watches him do that, she gave him with a flying kiss that he animatedly caught and placed on his cheeks before sitting back in his seat. Maine would shed tears every now and then as all the sacrifices that Alden have made slowly flashed in her head. Everything is really worth the wait indeed. The Faulkersons is smiling from ear to ear as they watched Maine launched herself to Alden when the ceremony ended. They hugged each other tightly for a minute. Alden showered her forehead with kisses after the hug to show how grateful and thankful he is for everything about Nicomaine. Maine on the other couldn't help but hug him again and again as she keeps on saying how proud she is because Maine knows how much he wanted this eversince he just can't find time to do so. Alden value his education so much, it means a lot to him, but his situation back then wouldn't allow him to continue studying cause he needs to work for his family. Maine hates it when people would look at this side of his life and say rude things to him just because he doesn't have a college degree. She will always get mad and want to tell everyone how brave Alden's decision is, he chose his family over himself. If you'll think about it Alden doesn't need to go back to school and earn himself a degree cause despite of not having that he have done a lot of great things already but that's what he wants. He wanted a college degree and now, he has one. No more validation needed.
"paano ba yan. May college degree na ko, pwede mo ko pakasalan!"
Maine hit his arm. "sino ba nagsabing kailangan mo ng diploma bago kita pakasalan ha?"
