"You've got to be kidding me!" A woman exclaims as Klaus and I step into her bar. I glance at Klaus in confusion, still not understanding why we're here in the first place.

"So a hybrid walks into a bar, says to the bartender-"

"Just because you're invincible, doesn't make you funny," the woman cut Klaus off, causing me to snort. Klaus glared at me before turning back to the woman. The woman notices me standing beside him, and she squints at me. "I know you from somewhere."

"I'm sorry, but I don't think we've met," I apologize still confused. The woman shakes her head as she steps away from the counter.

"So a hybrid out to make new hybrids? News travels fast," Gloria ignored me, going back to Klaus. I decided to shake it off as I walked around the counter, pouring everyone something strong.

"What am I doing wrong? I broke the curse."

"Well obviously you did something wrong. Magic always has some kind of loophole. To discover what that is, I need to contact the witch who created it."

"Ah, the original witch. She is dead. Very dead."

"I know. And for me to contact her I'll need Rebekah."

My eyes perk up at the name. Rebekah and I had been best friends before we were turned. I couldn't help but feel slightly excited as I realized we were going to have to wake her.

"She's a bit preoccupied," Klaus shook his head.

"I'm afraid she's what I need."

I watched as the blonde ruthlessly tore into he poor man's throat. Then she classily wiped her mouth before looking around. Her eyes landed on me. They widened and began to tear up.

"Am I seeing ghosts or is that you Madeline?" She asked in tears as she ran towards me. I was engulfed into a tight hug.

"It's me, Bekah," I laughed, feeling emotional myself. "I'm here."

"But how? And what's on your wrist?" She asked as she noticed the dark red mark. I had forgotten about it. I rubbed it before shaking my head. "It doesn't matter. We have to get you back to your brother."

"Niklaus?"

"I found it," Gloria announced. She had been channeling Rebekah to find the necklace her mother had given her. By her description, it sounds like the one Elena wears.

"Where is it?" Klaus demands.

"It doesn't work like that. I get images. There's a girl with her friends."

"Yes, a dead girl with dead friends if I don't get my necklace back," Rebekah said harshly.

"Well, I'm gonna have to dive back in to get the details."

"So dive," Klaus ordered.

"I need more time and space. You're harshing my ju-ju," she shot back. I could tell Klaus was beginning to get frustrated.

"We can wait."

"I'm sure you can, but that's not what I asked."

"Hey, that's alright! I'm hungry anyways!" I stepped in. Klaus and Rebekah looked at me skeptically before giving in and following me out.

I re-entered the bar, seeming to be completely alone. I looked around for the witch until finally she emerged from one of the back rooms. Her eyebrows shot up at my presence before she approached me.

"All day I've been trying to think of where I had seen you. Then it hit me," she smiled as she grabbed a small piece of paper from behind the bar. It had yellowed with age. She handed me the paper and I was surprised to find a sketch of a blonde with a wolf. "Niklaus left this behind in the twenties. I thought it was so good that I kept it."

"It's me," I said in confusion. "After a thousand years, he sat in a bar and drew me. He didn't even know I was alive."

"He still loves you, yah know?"

"Yeah, well he ruined that when he killed me," I said harshly. "I'm sorry. Sensitive subject."

"That mark on your arm is getting worse," Gloria changed the subject. "I've seen it before. It's in that grimoire of Esther's."

"Is she responsible for this?" I ask in confusion.

"Madeline, your father was a wolf," Gloria reminded me. "Yet you are no hybrid? Haven't you ever wondered why?"

"My mother was disloyal."

"Your mother was a saint. She would never cheat on your father. You have that wolf in you. It is just being suppressed."

"You're insane," I shook my head. "I don't know what you're talking about right now."

"Esther knew that Niklaus would want to turn you. She also knew that your existence would throw nature off of it's balance even more. That's why she cursed you so that you would never trigger your curse. That is unless..."

"Unless what?" I asked impatiently.

"Unless Niklaus had broken his curse first. Then you'd have to drink his blood. It's the only way for you to complete your transition," she finished. She stepped back behind the bar. I watched as she grabbed a cup, crushing some herbs in a glass of water. "Until then, drink this. It will continue to suppress that wolf, and you won't have to worry about that pesky mark anymore."

I hesitantly grabbed the glass before gulping it down. I instantly felt the magic flowing through my body. My skin began to tingle. I glanced down, finding my usual pale wrist. No red mark or anything.
