The next day Noah and I drive April to the airport. It’s sad to see her go seeing as she reminds me so much of my own mum. I hug her and shed a tear. She looks at me sincerely and her eyes too began to water.

“Honey, don’t cry. I get the feeling we will meet again soon.” She smiles and sends us both a wink before turning around to the terminal. Noah grabs my waist as the tears shed a little faster and we wave goodbye until we can no longer see her.

“Come on babe, let’s go.” He smiles down on me. He’s used to this, obviously I’m not.

When we are safely locked inside the house Noah grabs both my wrists and backs me up into a wall before he starts kissing me harshly. My wrists burn at his grip but when he slips into my mouth, my train of thought disappears completely. The next thought is breathing. In the exact same moment Noah and I lean back gasping for air. I was still trying to catch my breath before Noah brings his face to mine. “I love you.” He whispered.

His eyes were so honest. “I love you too.” I whispered back.

He smiles and lets go of my wrists, which hurt and forces a wince out of my lips, but before I could really think about it, he was kissing me, with his hands placed firmly on my butt.  Subconsciously my hands throw themselves to his neck which I grip tightly. In another swift moment my legs are wrapped around his hips.

“Do you want to take this to the bedroom?” He asked. A smile spreads across my lips and I nod.

The next morning, I wake up cuddled in the arms of Noah. He was mine and I was sure I loved him. He’s so cute when he is asleep that couldn’t help but smile. I very carefully wiggle out of his arms and search for something to wear from the selection of clothes scattered on the floor. I smile when I see his shirt that says ‘I’m not a nerd, I’m just smarter than you.’ It had nerdy glasses and the nose looked like a little smiley face. I hadn’t really noticed it when he was wearing it yesterday. I also find my underwear and search his draw for a pair of socks. Funnily enough, I grab the longest pair he has and they came up to my knees. I quietly sneak out of the room to make breakfast. I was in such a good mood and nothing was going to ruin today!

I had made 10 or so pancakes and I was packing away the eggs when two fingers pinched my butt, followed by two arms hugging themselves around me.

“That’s where my shirt went.” Noah’s voice sounded so sexy in the morning. He kisses my head. I turn around and he pulls back to look me up and down. “And my socks and,” he lifts his shirt a little, “oh, you’re underwear.” He pouts.

I hit his hand away. “Oi, show and tell is over.” I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him. He pulls back again.

“Don’t do distract me like that, I nearly forgot why I came out here.” He was serious in a flirty way. It was confusing.

“I’m sorry?” I return to packing things away. Noah sits on the kitchen bench.

“Renee called before. You were meant to be going back today.” He says softy.

I rub my eye. Crap, Renee is going to crack it at me. “Uh, I was. Did she say anything else?”

He shakes his head. “Not really, just that she urgently needs to talk to you, in person.”

I bite my bottom lip. “Ok. Well, can you drive me back to Meg’s today?”

He nods. “Of course I can.”

We eat breakfast in silence. The nail on my left thumb, chewed passed the point it should be. It hurt, but I didn’t notice. What would Nay want to talk to me about so badly… in person? I glance over to Noah. He’s tensed and has an has hardly touched his food.
